Embracing a New Name


Our desire at Campus Crusade for Christ, Canada is to take people on a faith adventure where they will discover Jesus, experience the Holy Spirit and inspire others to do the same.  To position ourselves to reach this culture in this generation is it time to change our name.  With much thought and constant prayer we have adopted a new name: Power to Change.

Does this mean we’re changing what we’re all about? Not at all.  Our passion for the Great Commission and desire to help you reach your world with the Gospel remains as strong as ever.  Our hope is that our new name will allow us to work even closer together as we share with the world that Jesus is the Power to Change.

“We want to invite Christians into a deeper faith adventure and give them the tools and training to reach others.”

Talking about the new name, President Leonard Buhler said, “I’m really excited about our new name.  It captures the heart and soul of our organization and clearly communicates our key message: that Jesus Christ is the power to change.”

The name Power to Change begs a question. For a spiritual seeker it offers an opportunity for us to share the Gospel. For believers, the logo of the cross over the globe represents what Jesus has done to transform our own lives and the deep desire we have to see the world discover a relationship with Him.

A bold new vision

Is it possible that the entire world can come to know the message of Jesus Christ? Absolutely.  But the task is too big for any one organization.  That’s why Power to Change wants to help you reach your world.

We’re not asking you to come join us; we’re inviting you to use us.  We want to make training in evangelism and follow-up more accessible and equip people to reach out to their communities.  We want to see entire cities impacted by the Gospel from Calgary to  Bangkok. Our vision is to see 500 cities reached for Christ by 2020.  It’s going to be spectacular to watch God at work.
