Partnership Development Representative


Responsibilities:

  • Develop new partnerships with churches
  • Contact pastors and/or Missions Committee chairpersons by letter or phone to arrange face-to-face meetings to explore the possibility of partnering
  • Utilize JFP materials, especially the Church Partnership Info Pack and DVD
  • Cultivate relationships to secure a financial commitment
  • Maintain regular written and verbal communication to nurture partnership 
  • Develop new partnerships with individuals by: 

    - Contacting Christian businesspeople and other individuals by letter or phone to arrange face-to-face meetings to explore the possibility of partnering
    - Utilizing JFP materials, especially the Top World-wide Funding Opportunities and donor DVD 
    - Cultivating relationship to secure a financial commitment 
    - Maintaining regular written and verbal communication to nurture partnership 
    Assist in nurturing JFP’s existing ministry partners by: 
    - Maintaining regular written and verbal communication as directed 
    - Present new proposals as directed 

  • Maintain accurate records of and report on development activities by: 

    - Filling out and submitting the Weekly Contact Sheet and Weekly Development Activity Report 
    - Attending monthly Development meetings with the Director 

  • Educate the general public on the ministry of JFP, Canada by:

    - Participation in Missions events such as fairs and conventions 
    - Speaking at churches as requested

  • A deep, growing, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ
  • A genuine desire to see people’s lives changed
  • A professional approach and demeanor
  • Exceptional at developing relationships quickly; naturally likable
  • Ability to speak confidently and effectively with business owners and community leaders
  • Spiritual maturity coupled with the ability to express Godly care
  • Ability to move people progressively in their desire and commitment to partner with JFP
  • Effective in ASKING for a pledge and closing the conversation
  • Passionate about God’s calling on their life and a commitment to ministering to God’s people
  • Able to self-manage and create own schedule
  • A team player with a group perspective
  • Has a story; why he/she is doing this

Reporting Relationships:

Reports directly to JFP Director

Works closely with JFP Communications Manager

Working Conditions:

Will meet with potential ministry partners in various locations. Work may be home-based with occasional days at Power to Change headquarters
