Post-Production Manager


Responsibilities:

  • To provide leadership to the Production staff of The JESUS Film Project that results in achieving the purpose and the goals of The JESUS Film Project, Canada
  • To manage the operations of field production by working with international staff and contacts in target countries and by overseeing JFP Canada production staff
  • Manage field production of new language products by overseeing:
    - The scheduling and recording of new productions, the recruiting and training of new staff as required
    - Communication with National Directors and/or JESUS film coordinators of the countries in which we are to be involved
  • Oversee the post production of all Canada Language List products:
    - By working with Masters Studios to ensure that Canadian recordings are produced on time and are up to quality standards
  • Assist the Communications Manager with producing videos:
    - By training and supervising the technicians and journalists in acquiring video footage on recording trips and by editing the footage for use by the     Communications department

Qualifications:

  • A deep, growing, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ 
  • A genuine desire to see people’s lives changed 
  • A professional approach and demeanor 
  • Thorough knowledge of recording software and hardware for recording system
  • Computer skills - both as operator and maintenance technician
  • Cross-cultural adaptation though training and 10 years of travel experience
  • Video Production - includes camera operation, editing and levels of production
  • Formal training in post-secondary institution
  • Formal Theological training from a Bible College - assist in preparing scripts from biblical sources
  • Management abilities - create and maintain projects both locally/globally
  • Understand and implement Digital Audio Recording concepts both as an operator and as a manager/producer

    Reporting Relationships: 

  • Reports directly to JFP Operations Manager 
  • Supervises: Assistant Manager for Production and Post Production, Recording Technicians, Journalist/Administrators 
  • Works closely with: Communications Manager,  Masters Studio Managers and Field Coordinators 
     
    Working Conditions: 
    Normal office conditions prevail
