Professional Sport Chaplain


Responsibilities:

  • Building relationships with coaches, athletes and support staff at the professional level 
  • Actively sharing your faith within the athletic world 
  • Leading Bible Studies and engaging in discipleship with athletes and coaches 
  • Speaking at pre-game chapels 
  • Training and equipping elite athletes for multiplying ministry 
  • Organizing and coordinating various programs and outreaches on campus 
  • Working closely with churches and organizations in the community to ensure opportunity for Christian athletes to use their platform in the community 
  • Challenging and recruiting athletes to become player representatives, attend conferences and seminars to further enhance and develop their ministry platform 
  • Working closely with other regional AIA chaplain staff 
  • Develop ministry donor base that engages in LIFE with AIA 

    Qualifications: 

  • A deep, growing, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ 
  • A genuine desire to see people’s lives changed 
  • A professional approach and demeanor 
  • An ability to communicate and actively listen well 
  • A proactive self-starter with the ability to follow through 
  • A desire to be involved with athletes and athletic culture 
  • A desire to be part of and work with a team 
  • Good organizational and management skills 
  • A desire to further personal growth and Biblical knowledge 
  • Flexibility to serve in whatever way God calls you 
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Reporting Relationships:
Reports directly to Professional Division Director

Working Conditions:
Placed on a University Campus
