President Extends Thanks

For many months and years, you have played a vital role in this ministry. As the president of Power to Change, I am sending you this special letter to personally thank you for your faithful support of our staff. Our people are our greatest asset. Without their commitment, passion and team of ministry partners, we would not be able to do what we do.

We recognize that many of you are coming into economically difficult times, and that some of you may have even lost your jobs. At this time, it may not be possible for you to support our staff the way you once did, but we want to acknowledge and thank you for your partnership. For those of you who God is blessing right now, we would like to challenge you to make up that difference in the lives of our staff by increasing your monthly support, giving an extra gift, or contributing to a general staff fund for those most in need.

In 2009, the spiritual openness of our nation will be greater than ever before. Now is the time to accelerate our efforts in helping people around the world discover the life transforming power of Jesus Christ. We are in the final implementation phase of our new direction and vision. We are currently restructuring our organization to a city-centric model to reach cities in Canada and around the world. To accomplish this, our staff requires financial stability; secondly, we need even more people to join us. Over the next 12 months, we are trusting God for 200 additional staff, especially in the areas of media, information technology and marketing. If you know of anyone that would like to engage with us, we are fervently looking for volunteers, one or two-year interns and full-time staff to impact our nation. God has called us for such a time as this. When others are shrinking back from the challenge and withdrawing their efforts, we must forge ahead with a bold and audacious faith. This is the time to expand. I believe that it is possible for people across Canada and around the world to go on a Faith Adventure to discover Jesus, experience the power of the Holy Spirit as they share their faith, and inspire others to reach their world.
