“A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones”
(Proverbs 17:22).
Scott’s church was holding a missions conference. He invited a retired pastor to speak. On the first night of the conference, the elderly pastor hobbled up to the pulpit, looked at the few people in the pews and said, “How dare you get to hear the Gospel so often.? There are people who haven’t even heard it once!??? Then he simply stepped off the stage and went home.
The second night the crowd was a bit larger and the message was the same!
By the third night, the church was packed. The retired pastor challenged the congregation to “go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every nation.???
One-hundred people committed to do missions work!
Oh, dear one, consider today what your part might be in fulfilling the Great Commission!
