Trials

Written by stacy

“These have come so that your faith – of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire – may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed”
(1 Peter 1:7).

Many times during the last three years of my husband’s life, I wondered why God would put him through such pain.?

Then one day, while reading First Peter to Bill, we came across this passage: “These trials are only to test your faith. To show you it is strong and pure. It’s being tested as fire tests and purifies gold and your faith is far more precious…than mere gold.???

Even though he wouldn’t have chosen to be in pain, Bill knew his faith was being refined.? He remained faithful to the Lord and never complained.

We’d like to think, once we become a Christian, life is going to be problem free.? But that’s not the case.? You see, we do the most growing when we’re faced with trials.

If you are experiencing a trying time, rejoice that your faith is being refined.
