Stress Relievers

Written by stacy

“By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work”
(Genesis 2:2).

Stress is an every day fact of life for most of us.? But what should a Christian do when you’re stressed?

Author Lindsey O’Connor described four kinds of rest:

First is sleep.? You can’t burn the candle at both ends for long without the candle getting burned out!

The second is soul rest…being still before God.

The third rest is stillness.? On occasion, it’s necessary to sit very still.

Lastly, there is Sabbath rest…taking time out to worship God and rejuvenate spiritually.

We cannot be effective for the Lord if we’re caught up in the hectic pace of life.? Get your rest, take time being still before the Lord…physically and spiritually…and renew your spiritual life in worship.? That’s God’s prescription for the best way to handle stress.
