Mother’s Day

“Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do. “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first of the Ten Commandments that ends with a promise. And this is the promise: If you honor your father and mother, “you will live a long life, full of blessing.”
(Ephesians 6:1-3)

Sally had not seen or spoken to her mother in years.? Her mother didn’t approve of Sally’s former lifestyle.? Sally had rejected her mother’s phone calls and ignored her letters.?

But a serious car accident reminded Sally of the frailty of life.? Sally sent flowers to her mother with a card that read, “Mom, please forgive me.? I love you.???? A tearful phone call between Sally and her mother mended years of a broken relationship.? ? ? ?

This Sunday is Mother’s Day.? It’s a day to honor the person who gave you a mother’s love.? Make time to do something special for the person who gave you a mother’s love.? Pray for her.? Send a card or gift.? Give her a phone call.? Go visit her.? Tell her you love her.? ? ? ? ?

It’s not too late.? Your mother needs to hear from you.
