“In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation??? (Psalm 5:3).
The epitome of personal wealth in my opinion would be having a personal shopper so I might never again enter a shopping mall! A close second — and more attainable goal — is owning a coffeepot complete with automatic timer so a freshly brewed cup is only a step away upon awakening. A special friend, one has walked long with God and possesses strong Norwegian roots, states with a twinkle in his eye that he and God have an agreement: it takes both the Holy Spirit’s prompting and a cup of strong coffee to prepare him for a morning meeting with the Father.
Oswald Chambers writes, “The measure of the worth of our public activity for God is the private profound communion we have with Him. Rush is wrong every time, there is always plenty of time to worship God… It is a discipline…???

The words “disciple??? and “discipline??? come from the same root; my heart’s desire is to be an always-learning, fully committed disciple. Now I must be faithful to the discipline of communion with the Lord. With or without coffee.
