Finding Love In Wrong Places

Written by stacy

“But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat.”
(1 Corinthians 5:11)

Sandi was so lonely.? She’d been a widow who hadn’t dated in several years.?

Then, one day, a wonderful man came into her life.? He pursued her… flowers, dinners and sweet words.? He SAID he was a Christian.

But within a few weeks, he wanted the relationship to be intimate.? He said this was a gift from God to make people happy.? But Sandi stood firm.? She cared for the man and wanted a companion… but his view of God did not agree with the Bible.?

The Bible says, we’re to run from immorality… and that’s just what Sandi did.? It was time to end the relationship.?

Her heart was broken but she knew the Lord loved her obedience.? She felt better too.? As it turned out, he was married and separated from his wife!

Friend, God really does know best!

This devotion really spoke to me. I strayed from the Lord and was involved with a man for quite a while. We broke up and then started seeing each other again. I started back in church and felt so much spiritual conviction about sex outside of marriage. I told him I could no longer sleep with him, and the relationship ended. I know that God will honor my obediance and I feel better about what I have done. It just proved to me that Gods love is unconditional and man’s love (from the world) is not.

Thank you Jesus for your forgiveness. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I love you Lord. Until you send me the husband that I pray for, you will fill that role in my life. In your name I pray, Amen.
