“May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace, as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit???.
(Romans 15:13)
Let me ask you a question… What are you putting your hope in today?
We often don’t stop to think of it so pointedly, yet each of us has something we are specifically putting our hope in… even today.
It may be in a job title, a good wage, a house, a new investment, a new look or a firm body and great wardrobe. Others find their hope in a specific relationship, or ownership of a certain item, belonging to a specific group, pursuing the right education or living in a specific neighborhood. All good things…yes. Yet the hope they bring is only fleeting.
When we anchor our hope in the LORD and all that His name tells us He is… we have a security that is unlike any other. It is not a fleeting hope.? It will even take us into eternity when our time on this earth comes to an end.
No matter what culture you are a part of or where in this world you live, the hope of the Christian is in the name of the One who is everything to us.
• He alone is the security of our hearts.
• He alone is the strength of our minds.
• He alone is the anchor through all of life.
“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God???. ( Psalm 20:7)
Is your trust fully in Him today or are you still anchored to “horses and chariots????
Let’s make this our prayer today…
“I will praise you forever for what you have done; in your name I will hope, for your name is good. I will praise you in the presence of your saints???. (Psalm 52:9)
As we conclude our series on the names of God,? my prayer for you is this…
“May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace, as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit???. (Romans 15:13)
May you overflow today with the hope of all He is!
We praise the name of the LORD our God!
