“The God of All Comfort. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,”
(2 Corinthians 1:3)
Little Carl wasn’t accustomed to being dropped off at childcare.? So when his mother left him at the church nursery, he immediately began to cry hysterically.? He carried on, despite the nursery workers’ attempts to console him.? He pushed them aside when they tried to hold him.
Carl cried so hard that he made himself sick.? Comfort was available, but he refused to accept it.
You and I can be so much like little Carl!? When happenings don’t go our way, we cry and lash out.? We refuse the comfort available to us.
God loves to care for His children through His word and through others.? In fact, He calls himself “the God of all comfort.??? Dear friend, the next time you’re upset, turn to Him. Accept the comfort He offers.? God longs to love and hold you in His tender arms.
