Wait for the Lord

Written by stacy

“In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait in expectation” (Psalm 5:3).

By the time she was 33, Marsha Marks had had two fiancees. Her first died in a car crash. Ten years later, she was engaged again. But after a few months, he left her for someone younger and more physically attractive to him.

Still, Marsha believed God eventually would answer her prayer for a husband. Family and friends urged her to go out and find a man. But Marsha knew she needed to wait on God’s timing.

Well, she did meet Mr. Wonderful. Now, after more than 17 years of joyous marriage, Marsha says, “No gift from God has ever taught me more than the value of waiting on God.”

Don’t grow impatient, friend. God may need to work on you or your intended before bringing you together. Keep praying and studying His Word. Then… Wait on the Lord!

    I remember years ago while taking a shower I said to God, ‘I’d make someone a really good wife’ He replied immediately by saying,’You make you a good wife’ I laughed at His prompt humour, He gave me further food for thought.

    Later, in years or months, I’m not sure, I began to seriously asking God for a husband.One particular prayer I was encouraged by the scripture John 14:13 …and whatever you ask in My Name, that will I do’ so I began to list to God what I was looking for in a husband. The conversation became so real and at the same time embarrassing and funny because He kept saying ‘What else?’

    After that my prayer changed and I began to thank God for my husband.

    To cut a long story short.I have been married 3 years to the most wonderful man, and guess what! He is exactly what I asked for. Praise God!

    I am believing God for everyone who was like me.
    Gos bless

    I’m so blessed with this devotional. I woke up crying that day and I immediately sought God. I read my Bible and opened up my email. I saw this devotional and I knew that it was one way God answered my cries to him early morning. Waiting on the Lord is hard but thank God because He is always there for me when I get discourage.

    Praise God for your ministry!
    God Bless you all
