My friend, Judy, has written on a co-blog a great reminder for Christians who are unsettled about the Da Vinci Code.
Relax: Jesus is the Lion of Judah. Lions can defend themselves. And they can devour at will, too! The gospel has been attacked since Jesus was mocked on the Cross. Satan would have us panic. But Jesus, our Sabbath rest, is not fazed. He came to seek and save the lost. Our job is to simply testify to His power.
It’s funny, I just saw CS Lewis’ The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe again during a flight this week. Seeing this movie again in it’s depiction of Jesus as a Lion helped me remember this point about who Jesus really is.
Movies and books do have a way of influencing us in our thoughts and beliefs.
Oh, and on these flights I saw one person reading Da Vinci Code and another reading The Jesus Papers by Teabing Baigent (Brown’s biggest influence in writing DVC).

CS Lewis, the Di Vinci code, you Christians just get sadder and sadder. Want to read a good book?
Try “On the Origin of Species” by some chap called Darwin, I’ve read your Bible its a complete fiction. Historically unsound, subject to extreme cencorship.
