I just saw the movie on saterday, and with all the hype around it and the amazing cast, i thought that it would be a classic, [Even though the i don't agree with the views of the book.] but the movie was a dissappointment, we all know the book is better than the movie, and the movie is still acceptable,eg. Lord Of the Rings. I sat in the movie house waiting something that wsn't coming.I think they rushed the making of the movie to cash in on the hype at the time.

Haven't seen the movie yet personally (I'll be seeing it on Monday!) but from the sounds of it, its not getting great critical reviews so far. See RottenTomatoes.com's list of movie critics' reviews:
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/da_vinci_code/
There are some positive reviews, but most are negative so far. I'm still looking forward to seeing it and evaluating it myself!

New York Post cheered:" 'The Da Vinci Code' is the Holy Grail of summer blockbusters: a crackling, fast-moving thriller that's every bit as brainy and irresistible as Dan Brown's controversial bestseller."

Interesting response by the Europeans! I wonder what the North American response will be.....somehow I think we here in NA are more about entertainment and less about using our minds to think things through. That's a generalization but it will be interesting to see how people respond when the movie comes out tomorrow.

For any of you out there that have read the book or seen the movie and have serious questions about who Jesus himself claimed to be, check out the daily chats at 12:30 pm eastern time in www.thelife.com chat room. Friday the topic is the Death of Jesus and then on Monday, about His resurrection and what difference that makes to his claims to be the Son of God.....come and chat!
