Girl with No Name
” Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will” (Romans 12:2).
Parties at Spring Break rarely bring out the best in people. Never was that so apparent than one party several years ago.
Kenny was a giant of a man with a football scholarship. He was partying hard when a young co-ed less than half his size asked if she could tell him about Jesus. Kenny became irate. He screamed at her and told her to go away.
Although Kenny never saw her again, the memory of that moment haunted him. He saw what he was really like. And God used that realization to bring him to Christ. Today, Kenny tells others about Jesus as a chaplain with the sport’s ministry Athletes In Action.
Friend, don’t be afraid to tell others about Jesus. You never know how He can use you just like this one unnamed girl.

Often times when we try to witness to people, we become hurt or discouraged when these people don’t respond immediately the way we think they should. It’s important to remember that it all works out in God’s timing, not ours and that our efforts are not wasted. Just like the girl in today’s devotional, we are planting seeds, and sometimes it’s way down the road before they begin to sprout.
God bless you all:)
It is exciting to share Jesus with others! I mainly do so via a Christian newsletter I publish online. I so enjoy writing articles about biblical truths since these same truths have helped me so much. I have a mailing list of about 2,000. A few people on my list are Moslem. One of them has written me from time to time just to chat. Praise God he is attracted to my newsletter. I believe God is using my newsletter to reach him for Jesus. I agree with JoAnn. No one is too tough for God. Isaiah 59:1 says: Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
yes,it is exciting to tell about Jesus . you can receieve rejection & you can gain a golden opportunity to share the love of Jesus. i ride the bus going to work. & once a lady asked me are you a filipina ? i said yes. she asked me to sat beside her. she started telling me her story .that her husband died 6 yrs ago .her 2 children are both professional .she goes to bingo everyday . I told her its true that we will all die once & certainly go to a place either hell or heaven. I asked her if she wanted to be sure to where she will go. she said she follows the 10 commandments. I said it is imporatnt to have a relationaship with Jesus . I asked her if she wanted to have that relationship with the Lord. she answered yes.
i led her to repeatthe sinner s prayer of acceptance. we held each others hand as she prayed the prayer inside the bus. i encourage everybody just be willing to share you don’t know the soul of a person can enter on that particular appointed time by Jesus .please pray for her . her name is Connie Santos Ramos. She will be turning 85 on Dec 28 ,2006.All glory to Jesus .
I work at a pregnancy center. We are Christion based, and witness to all the new clients as we do an “intake” on them. I had a young girl whose boyfriend just invited himself in. I let it go (that turned out to be a mistake.) When it came to my witnessing to her, he broke in and said he prefered to believe in the truth of his text books.
I told him no matter what he chose to believe, the Bible is truth, and his opinion will not change that fact. He got nasty and I closed the subject and dismissed them.
I did tell her we where there if she wanted to come back and we would help her any way we can. I regret not asking him to leave the room and continue on with her. She was listening. I don’t know that she was ready to believe what I was saying or not, but at least she was open to hearing what I had to say.
I only hope the seed I planted, God will cultivate. I will probably never know.
This story gives me a new perspective on this situation. Nobody is to tough for God.
I am hoping He led them there for me to put the ball in motion. I have prayed for them both.
Thank you for your articles. They are very uplifting. I don’t always have time to respond, but they are appreciated just the same.
