The Proverbs 31 Woman: Growing
“Many daughters have done nobly,
But you excel them all.”
Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain,
But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised??? (Proverbs 31:29,30).
For all the coming and going and doing attributed to the Proverbs 31 woman, she is, above all, a woman who carries with her a loving reverence for God. As we conclude our mini-series on Proverbs 31, let’s pray about how we can continue growing in relationship with our Lord.
~ Father in heaven,
I want to grow in becoming a woman who has a deep and loving adoration for You. I desire to have Your truth revealed in my life. Help me to seek to understand Your ways and to walk in them. Help me to walk with a “Yes, Lord??? attitude.
Lord, give me such a desire to be in Your presence that I will schedule times to spend with You. Thank You that You hear my prayers on the run; still, I long for that deep refreshment that is available in times in Your presence. Give me a hunger for Your Word and a quiet heart to listen for Your voice.
Let my life become my worship as I respond to the greatness of God!
Father, I want to grow in awe of You. Show me Your awesomeness once again.
Grow in me the desire to be truthful in my inner being about the ways I need Your help and wisdom. Help me to grow in my attitude of allowing You to shape my character and my life.
Renew my love for You. I want to draw near. In Jesus’ powerful name I pray, amen.
“Humility and the fear of the LORD brings wealth, honor and life” (Proverbs 22:4).

Barbara I will pray for you,God loves you no matter what!
To all my sisters in christ, I hear your heart speaking and
so does the Lord. For your hearts are open and tender to-
ward the Lord. The Lord knows our most deepest and private
feelings. God knows exactly the pain you are feeling, all
the hurt you have encounter. God is the father of mercies
and the God of all comfort. God has comfort us in all our
troubles, therefore we can comfort others in all their
troubles. It is in the scriptures of God we are comfort,
for his word consoles us , it builds us up, it lift us up,
and it also encourages us. I pray my sisters that your
growth in christ will continue and he will manifest him-
self unto you. I pray that you will stay thirsty and
hungry for him, always seeking his face[Him]. For in his
presence is the fulness of joy, may your joy be forever
full!!!
To be truthful with you, I have always been a little jealouse of the Proverbs 31 women. I told myself she was too good to be true. No one could ever be that perfect, (besides Jesus)I was never convinced she ever really existed. But now after this mini series I’ve come to realize that it does not matter if she existed or not, she is a word picture of the woman God wants me to be. I now believe she exists here in God’s Word to be an example to women everywhere that with God’s help we too can be a Proverbs 13 woman.
Thank you Lord for giving us this special women as an example for us to live our lives by. Encourage us Father daily to attain the goals that You have set for each one of us. Be with each of us as we face the challenges in our lives. Share with us Your wisdom in each decision we make.
Give us the strenghth, energy and determination to attain the desirable characteristics of this woman.
But above all Lord, help us to please You, For You are GOD! and to please You is to be desired first. Amen. (so be it Lord)
I have really enjoyed this mini-series, kind of hate for it to conclude, it have been inspiration, and uplifting. I would love to be friend with the Proverbs 31 Woman, she have some many attributes and quality, that I wish I had in a friend. She is rare.True to herself and others and passionate for our God.How I want to continue to grow in my relationship with Jesus. I want to long for him like a deer pant for water.I do love the Lord and I enjoy the high I get when I fellowship and pray to him, there is nothing like that feeling. No matter what anyone of us is going through, always remember that Jesus is with us in our circumstances, he will never leave us nor forsake us. He is our refuge, our healer, deliverer, and our way of escape. We just need to cast our burden upon him, he shall sustain us: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. Those are promises to stand on, doing all to stand, Stand. And praise him for he is worth to be praise, when the praises goes up the blessings comes down. You all are in my prayers. Blessings
Though the Hollywood scene makes us think we need to look like the movie stars, what a relief it is to know that inner beauty is what really counts. I can think of numerous women in my life who would not be considered beautiful by our society, but their countenance shows their peace. Their inner beauty radiates on their faces. When they leave the room, people say, “There goes a woman of God.” I pray that we as readers of this column will be viewed as “Women of God, beautiful in every way.”
Lord, T
Thank you for this study of the Proverbs 31 Woman…It gives us all something to aspire to…Lord we desire to be just like You in all of our “uniqueness”…have Your Way in our lives today…we surrender all of our “issues” all of our “stuff”…we surrender all of our “disappointments”, all of our “frustrations”…Lord, I thank You for Your Divine protection and favor in the midst of the enemy’s attack on our lives…Lord we praise You in the midst of valley experiences for we know that praise brings You on the scene of our lives in a “Right Now” way! We all need You to show up in our lives, “Right Now”. Lord, help us all to remember that Your Presence is with us at all times, You never leave us alone…We only need to turn our attentions to You all day, every day…keeping an attitude of praise on our hearts. Lift us, Lord as we surrender to being Your Proverbs 31 women in the earth today, on our jobs, in our home, with our family, in our communities, in our churches, in our circles of influence…in Jesus Precious Name…amen
In a midist times I had strugled to have a good friend into my life, but my own fear worrying and etc really are bit scary.
It like I tried to have many of friends to reply to me so I would not be scared or not know what happening to me.
but after a while it like I had been so emotional and I know if someone lifted me not feel that way etc .
In the final analysis of this woman, it is revealed that charm and good looks do not matter. What a relief since, as we all age (including the men) it is our walk with God that truly shows who and what we are, not our hair, our conversational ability, or our weight. Your sister in Christ
I would want to be her friend for she is humble and caring, she is ready to lift you up when in grief with prayer, and the word of God and she rejoice when you are happy. (In every situation she is worthy to be mentioned). Amidst all her good qualities without the fear of God she cannot achieve all these.
God give me the grace to walk with you so that other women too would share in your glory. Amen.
