This was a wonderful devotion. I too accepted Jesus at a very early age, 8. All of my life I was considered different, some said crazy and all sorts of things. I was kind of isolated from other kids which was very difficult for me. However, I am grateful that I experienced Jesus so early. Both my sons accepted Jesus right at home at the age of 5. They are now ages 15 and 7. I am able to minister to them about the being "different" thing. As a result of this, my 15 y/o has witnessed to many of his friend at school who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Isn't God awesome!

Thanks to Gail for posting this devotional and thanks to all of you who shared. I too was "raised in the church" and raised my own kids there too. I am SO very greatful to those who "fed" me when I was young and extremely indebted to those who taught me to "feed myself" (in the scriptures) along the way. I too thought I really didn't have much of a testamony. Then some brilliant person convinced me I should "write it out". O-:I'm still working on it:-O.

May the Lord grant a special blessing to each of you who share here. After all, we ARE blessed to be a blessing. Again, thanks for sharing.

I was touched by the devotional this afternoon. I also have been raised in church. Sometimes we feel we don't have a testimony but, we have a great testimony because we have felt the love of God throughout our lives.

I grew up to be so exposed in the occult that when I accepted Jesus thru an evangelist in a television show . I didn't have any feeding . It took so many years yet for me to fully understand the gospel but Jesus death and resurrection indeed gave me the hope and the love & redeemed by His Blood !!!

My son is like Samuel. He's only 6 but i knew when he was born and as the years went by i realized how much it is true. He was prayed over and prophetized over that he was as Samuel. I was amazed but i do get worried sometimes. I know God has a plan and my son is His. When i was breast feeding i would pray Johnathan would know right from wrong. He's very much a right and wrong child. Now i pray He would make the right choice rather than the wrong but that God would always help him. Thank you for your testimony it is not boring because it encourages those who do choose at a young age.

I can relate to Jessy. I was 7 yr. old when I asked Jesus to come into my heart. My life is far from perfect. I feel like having Jesus Christ at the center of my being ... has allowed me to walk in the light ... and a protection from the darkness. I memorized John 3:16 from the bible as a reminder at the age of 7, and have never forgotten those words. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." As an adult I memorized John 3:17 to avoid being too judgmental. "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through HIM might be saved." I too, like Jessy, was raised to depend upon the Lord ... and I couldn't imagine how I could cope ... without the Lord. Jesus makes life worthwhile and I'm so thankful. Jesus carries me when I'm weak. I surrender all. Jesus is NEVER BORING! Philippians 4:13 says, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Amen.
