Part 1

From a women’s shelter in Rwanda to a board room in New York; from an office in Barbados to a home in Sir Lanka; from a cabin in the Arctic to the  beach in the Caribbean… our readers share how they are growing in their faith.

Reading this this morning YOU are a part of what God is doing around the globe. YOU are a part of the movement of God’s grace as we each share in the inheritance of what we have received as followers of Jesus Christ.

Paul said it well in Colossians 1:5b  “All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God’s grace in all its truth.???

What a privilege it is to grow together in understanding God’s grace in all its truth. It is a well of deep discovery that we will never exhaust. It is the key to growth and fruit bearing in our lives.

Paul’s prayer for the believers speaks of the flow of God’s grace in a life that seeks to understand this grace in all its truth.

Embrace what His grace offers YOU today from Colossians 1:9 – 14. Let it flow through your life and be changed right where you walk today…

~Father God,

I thank You that You continue to reveal Your amazing grace to me. So often I do not live in the truth of all Your grace offers me. Today I praise You that Your grace offers me “knowledge of Your will through spiritual wisdom and understanding???. You know the decisions facing me today. You know the places where I need wisdom. To know with confidence that Your grace will provide the understanding I need is such a rich gift. In faith I look to You to do as Your word promises.

Show me Your steps for my life so that in every way I may live worthy of the name of Jesus. Help me to please You in every decision and choice I make today.

May I be mindful of doing good deeds for others and may my work be fruitful in showing Your love to those around me. Let Your grace flow through me in the powerful name of Jesus, amen.

    Dear Gail Rodgers; Nov.28/06
The devotionals are very good and I appreciate them very much. They are well written and easy to understand. When someone writes so you can’t understand what they are writing about that is hard because they are to educated. The devotionals you send are written so anybody can understand them. Thank you
The comment I would like to mention is in the prayer, it would be nice if you did not use Father God because it is not used in the bible, Heavenly Father sounds much better. He is not a priest they are referred to as Father, and what ever their names are and there are other churchs, who have that term to address the priest in their church. I don’t like that phrase or it’s use in a prayer or in a sermon.
That is the only thing that turns me right off is when they say Father God. This is not directed at you Gail Rodgers to everyone who uses this term I would tell the same thing. God Bless you as you continue to write devotinals.
    Yours Truly, Dorothy Friesen

It is so wonderful that You give us so freely that we do not have to face anything alone. May we share wilingly with others what we have received from You without limit.
