Give God Praise
“Sing to the LORD, you saints of His; praise His holy name” (Psalm 30:4).
“Sing to the LORD, praise His name; proclaim His salvation day after day. Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples” (Psalm 96:2, 3 ).
What can we, mere mortals, give God?
God lacks nothing. There is no material object, no deed, no emotional attachment that God needs. Yet, He desires to be in relationship with us.
Therefore, although we can’t give God anything He lacks, when we respond to the things He has given us it pleases Him.
Likewise, praise is not a commodity that God needs.
Instead, praise is an offering, a sacrifice, an act of obedience, an acknowledgment of who He is.

How can you grow with God? Talk to us
Give God praise for His forgiveness and His mercy:
“Who is a God like You, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of His inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy” (Micah 7:18 ).
Give God praise for His love and His faithfulness:
“Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3: 22, 23 ).
Give God praise for who He is:
“For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise” (1 Chronicles 16:25 ).
~ Holy God, You are worthy of all our praise! You forgive our sins. You are compassionate and faithful. You are so great and yet You care about me. Thank you.

Praise the Lord! This is my favorite psalm 116. David was in torment and depression like myself but through Prayer in praise and thanksgiving He will answer. I love the Lord.

Father, forgive me for soemetims taking for granted the beauty of your creation. This morning, there is frost on the roof tops, and the trees are desparately holding on to the last of their multi-colored leaves. Above me is a sparkling blue sky, and my breath appears as steam from a tea kettle. I praise you, Lord that you have created all these colors and that you have given me eyes to see them as I take my early morning walk!
let us remember to first give thanks and praise to our gracious father, for meeting our needs. we have nothing with out our father, thank you wonderful father for every blessing you have bestowed it all belongs to you. thanks for todays devotional
Who will I let hear my praise today? Thank you for that question to ponder.
Will it be my family, my co-workers, my dearest friends, a stranger? I commit that question to you my Lord and my King. I don’t “feel” like praising today and yet I have so much to praise God for both now and over all the years I have been his child. My circumstances are overwhelming right now so praise is an offering, a sacrifice, an act of obedience, an acknowledgement of who He is in the midst of the cirumstances.
I am thankful for that reminder today.

I just want to praise the Lord for my salvation and for showing me that He and He alone is my daily bread. I want to thank Him for showing us favor yesterday as we shopped for the City Rescue Mission Christmas party. I stand amazed at His grace that lifts and covers His children during tragedy. All of creation is testifying of His omnipotent sovereignty as we view the most awesome colors of fall here in Florida. My God is so BIG so STRONG and so MIGHTY there is nothing my GOD cannot do!!!
Who will I let hear my praise today? Gracious God, bring people into my life who need to hear the Word ! Make me bold in telling of your faithfulness and love to me, and may I not fear that I say the wrong thing. Matthew 10:19,20 – - “do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.” Praise you Lord for your Holy Spirit ! Amen and amen.
