The tiny wrinkles around my eyes seemed to appear almost overnight. One day I was very aware of them and knew I had better get that eye cream I was hearing about. I’d better try the “triple action???! I was amazed at the results…and in such a short time! This was good.
The waistband on my jeans felt tight. Could it be those wonderful cappuccinos I was regularly enjoying? I was amazed at the results…and in such a short time! This was not good.
I didn’t like the sand paper edge that seemed to spring up in a friendship of mine. I asked the Lord for patience and grace to bite my tongue. I was amazed at the results…and in such a short time! This was good.
Little decisions or changes peppered throughout the day push the edge of results to the negative or the positive.
It’s the same in your spiritual journey. Little changes… conscious little choices that push your walk with God in one direction or another. Little choices to let God in or to hold Him at a distance. Little choices of attitude; little choices of purity in thoughts or choices of entertainment. Little choices. Invite Him into them. You will be amazed at the results…and in such a short time!
“Create in me a clean heart O God, and renew a right spirit within me??? (Psalm 51:10).
This New Years don’t make grand resolutions that will fade in a few short weeks. Choose daily to let God be a part of the little choices…choose to be amazed …and in such a short time!
~Heavenly Father,
Thank you that You can create what is right and good in this heart of mine that often struggles with the little daily choices. Thank you that I can count on You to renew a right attitude within me. I am not making grand New Year’s resolutions that will fade, but I am asking You to help me make the right daily choices in the little things of life. I want to be changed in this New Year. I want You to renew right attitudes in me daily. Amaze me with the results, Father, as You guide me in the small things of my day. Thank you that I can face this New Year with freshness and anticipation because You are holding my hand! You will help me in the little things of my life. For this I give You my praise! In Jesus name I pray, amen

Little choices, little decisions, build upon each other for big consequences, good or bad. I chose to sleep in one day and neglect my morning devotionals. I chose to do that again and again and again. One day I found myself, while driving to work, thinking, I don’t need God today, I can handle this day on my own! How easy it is to turn your back and walk away from God. But Father God, I can’t do this w/o you. I wasn’t created to. Forgive me, Lord, for wandering away from you. Thank you for the msg in church this morning & for the msg here on CWT today.
“Create in me a clean heart O God, and renew a right spirit within me??? (Psalm 51:10).
What a beautiful inspirational! I look forward to what God has in store for the New Year and rely on Him even more everyday. It just takes reminding every now and then that the big things are just that, “things”. Even with our flaws, wrinkles and gray hair, God loves each of His children the same and in His eyes we are all beautiful. Everyone would be so peaceful if they could look beyond the stuff, and see how much He really loves us all. I find great peace in that, and hope you do too! Have a peaceful 2007!!!
I sure enjoyed this reminder about our little choices. I tried to just read the letter in my mailbox. It was so good I had to come to the website and read everyone’s comments. I know I will visit the website again today, just to reread this devotional, and everyone’s’ beautiful comments. Thank you so much and God Bless. Happiness in 2007! “Create in me a clean heart O God, and renew a right spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10). In Jesus name…
There are no co-incidences. The message at our morning service touched on this and started me thinking. When I got home, and read this, I knew that God was speaking to me directly. If I LET God lead and guide me with the little things, there will be less of “big” things. I am so thankful that God has led me to this website.
those little things sure can become big if I allow them to , they become a big thing. the lord says for us to seek him . Oh, what is the name of that eye cream?
When I opened my email and saw this wonderful devotional, I knew that this was going to be a start to a wonderful year. I am going to invite the Lord into my heart daily to handle all of my worries and struggles that I deal with on a daily basis and ask him to lead me into the right direction. I have been through a lot this year, and for 2007, I am putting everything in the Lord’s hands.
GOD BLESS AND THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!

Annie, you said it so well…
“it is in giving myself to God with the little things that the big mountains will be moved.”
Thank you for those words. What a great motto for the new year.
God bless you all as we begin a fresh page January 1.
Warmly,
Gail Rodgers
This is just what I needed to hear to start the New Year. It is a message that we need to remind ourselves of daily. We need to INVITE Jesus into our hearts daily and ask Him to direct us daily, that way when we ‘slip’ up, we will feel his ‘Nudge’ and repent immediately. Thank You for this message.

After reading this devotional today I started to think “I am showing my 50 years of age in my hair maybe I should think about dying it again.” Then,”NO, I can’t afford it and besides my dad looks so good with his hair all white.”
I am just impatience with this peiord because I’m not fully white yet not my natural color either. GOD GIVE ME THE STRENGTH AND THE PATIENCE TO GET THROUGH THIS PERIOD OF MY LIFE.
I don’t mind getting older,I just need the patience for everything else that goes with it.
I know GOD will be there with me every step of the way
THANK YOU JESUS
i loved reading this devotional this morning. we can be amazed by the power of prayer yet fail to use it at the same time. thank you for sending what i needed to hear.
I read this and had to smile because just yesterday I was asking the Lord to help me to grow old gracefully and not allow the wrinkles that are so ever present on my face to bother me. I also asked him to help me to have a softer voice and not to let my frustrations come through the tone of my voice. Sometimes it is the little things that throw us out of wack more than the big things.
God leads . . . this devotional was exactly what I needed to hear today . . . it is in giving myself to God with the little things that the big mountains will be moved . . .
Thank you, Lord, for using this devotional to point us in the right direction in the new year. Annie
