Look around right now. What do you see? Do you pay attention to the world at your fingertips? Do you live with wonder and curiosity? Has the mundane busyness stolen your ability to notice a child playing, a bird singing or the time to look into the eyes of someone you care about and really hear what is being said?

Both physically and spiritually there are things happening around us that we so often miss with our intent concentration on our own interests and schedule.

Rediscover the world around you. Look carefully right now at what is right there beside you or in front of you. Choose to notice. Choose to rediscover. Choose to hunger after the wonder that is around you both in the physical realm and in the spiritual. Awaken your spirit .

The wise writer of Psalms reminds us that God Himself invites us to, “Be still and know that I am God”. (Psalm 46:10)

God tries to get our attention so He can remind us of His love and give us greater purpose and fulfillment in our lives.

If you are feeling depleted in some way today stop, look and listen to the world around you, to the people near you, to the feelings behind the words, to the music of nature…

Choose to let your heart be awakened. Be still and know God…. He is there with you. He is most evident in the still, small voice of everyday. Listen and find new dimensions of life.
