Pomegranates of Truth

Written by stacy

Did you ever taste a juicy pomegranate? It’s a wonderful flavor, but is so frustrating to eat! Each tiny seed is covered with a cell of juice. You cannot eat a pomegranate without getting messy… but the taste makes it worth the effort!

Sometimes studying the Bible can be just like eating a pomegranate (but without the mess)!  You start reading some passage and notice it’s hard to understand. You may pray, “Lord, what are You trying to teach me?”

Then you start dissecting the verse word by word and discover the hidden sweetness. It makes sense! As the Psalmist says, “How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey!…  I gain understanding from your teaching.”

Dear one, take time today to enjoy the wonderful truth of God’s Word for you… it’s worth the effort!

With my daily devotional reading I do read the bible, but for me just to pick up the bible and read I have a hard time doing that.
I pray that GOD guides me in being able to read the bible more.

Reading the BIBLE is one area that I have problems with. I read it for the devotional readings I do daily but to just pick it up and read that is where I have problems.
I pray that GOD brings me closer to him by reading the BIBLE.
Anyone willing to send me a verve or 2 to read everyday and be willing to email me to talk about it later in the day??????

It seems everytime I read a Bible verse it speaks to me in a whole different way and I learn something new all the time. I sometimes have a hard time understanding, but I can go back later and read and think HEY, I never thought about it that way… Diane , i agree this web starts my day off in the right direction.
