Christine! I loved what you wrote..You expressed what was trying to say myself yesterday! HE is the Balance and our balance! And we, being his daughters, are “co-inehritors”..recipients..Thank you so much for these great thoughts. It took a long time for me, personally, to realize my self worth…But any time am in human doubt? I think of all HE sacrificed for us all that we could have what we do today in HIM!! God Bless you. i can do all things thru christ , Jesus is the vine i am the branch i can do nothing without Him, So i get all of my selfesteem from the Lord whether i realize it or not, THe King of the universe is my Father so I hAVE INHERITED hIS RIGHTEOUSNESS , BY HIS BLOOD I AM SAVED THRU FAITH , GOD IS SO GOOD TO US . I HAVE COME TO REALIZE THIS .

If we ever “get it” that God’s ways are “balanced” (as Barbara put it so well!)..and, that we are cherished and loved unconditionally by HIM…We do develop healthy “self esteem” through HIm, but don’t become “self absorbed” like Kim pointed out from the book she’s reading. Once we understand our relationship and our value with HIM, we are able to come outside of ourselves and see others! We start understanding not only our value, but that of those around us, too! Praise HIM!!!

I just love it when one of these devotionals comes just when i need it the most. One of the things that I have been praying for over the past several years is to be set free to be the real me. Battling with all of lifes ups and downs, knowing that I have been held captive for way to long and the only one that can set me free is Jesus.

Jesus is the KEY to real life and is the only way we can truly be set free in becomming the “Real Person” that one is called to become.

I feel that Self Esteem is a very important part of this process for with out a proper balance of respect torwards oursleves we will not be able to become all that we are to be.

Bad Habits, Old Ways of Living all need to be replaced with better values torwards God our Creator. Bad self-esteem is a curse. Good self-esteem is a blessing. Those who beleive they have something to offer are more likley to make a positve differance in other people’s lives. A healthy self-esteem axpresses itself with a confidence that says: “My life has a purpose.” “I can be anything God enables me to be.”

We all just need to remember what and who’s values are we measuring our self worth and standards by. Society’s Values and Ways or God’s Values and Ways.

I might had started off the wrong way but through Jesus Christ i am shedding my old being and replacing such with a new sense of self worth in God’s eyes.

Dear Father God, I pray that we all learn how to live with a balance self-esteem that allows us to become the blessed, responsible Women that you destined us to become. Let us realize that low-self esteem cripples our daily walk with you and high-self esteem will cause us to fall. Help us to work torwards a Godly Self-Image that will give you all the glory and honor. In Jesus strong name I pray, Amen

As someone who has always had self-esteem issues (compliments of some cruel siblings growing up!) I struggle constantly to turn off the negative tapes in my head.

It wasn’t until I was reading a book about changing your life as a Christian woman, and one paragraph stood out. It said that low self-esteem was one of the most selfish things we can do! I was amazed…I couldn’t understand that. Then I read on…it is selfish because we are making the assumption that God created something sub-par. I had NEVER thought of myself in that light. After reading this it was easier to turn the tapes off – not completely – but easier.

I now share this with every teenage girl I know! It is so much easier to believe the bad stuff but knowing that I am exactly who God made me to be makes it easier now to believe the good stuff too!

I have found that in my relationships with men I have to trust GOD.I hve tao give HIM cootroll, If I doon’t to GODddddd, I end up in a bad relationship.and absuded. I am not involved with a man right now but I am moe then willing to let GOD lead me to the man HE wants me to spend the rest of my life with. I can wait for him. JUSt as long as MY lord AND GOD LEADS THE WAY
