When my brother died at 2 1/2 when I was 3 1/2, I didn't understand it then. In my early 20's, in early recovery, God gave me the gift of understanding. My brother was a gift to us for awhile. He went to heaven when his work was done. The same is true of the baby I miscarried in 1982. God did a wonderful work in me, pulling me back from the darkeness through that, even though it hurt like crazy :-{, :-}. I agree with Fran.
