Idol worship was all Tanish ever knew… until one strange night. That particular evening, he dreamed about a God who was over all and above all. The experience was powerful for this man who worshipped many gods. He couldn’t forget this dream and wondered, what did it mean?
Not too many days later, a JESUS film team arrived with the movie in Tanish’s language. He was curious and sat down with his community to watch. As Tanish soaked in the story of Christ, he heard words that cut to his soul. His eyes were opened. Jesus was the God in his dream! Tanish prayed to invite Christ into his heart. His whole family followed!
Dear friend, Jesus Christ is much more than an historical figure. He is God! The One who is above all and over all. Won’t you invite Him into your heart today? [www.jesusfilm.org]

Vonette, you have out done yourself this time. As a Catholic, Jesus has always been in my life(he always will be),but I really really started excepting HIM into my life about 10 years ago. then in 2003,after a lot of praying and soul seaching I decide if I ever got the chance to have a full emerison baptistism I would.
WELL the Sept. of that year, I got talking to a friend about this and he told me he would talk to his pastor(he was attending a non-demanational{i know my spelling is really bad today}). I gave him my phone number and the next day(being sunday) he called right after his service and told me that a group was being baptisted the following Sunday just north of my city in one of the creeks. there was a meeting that evening if I didn’t have any plans. I made the meeting and the following saturday was Baptisted .
I may still attend the Catholic church but what is far more important is the fact that I a Christian first and far most.
I walk with my BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST.

I love this statement: “Jesus Christ is much more than an historical figure. He is God!” So many times I hear people talk about Jesus, but feel they have not made the connection…He IS GOD! I have a neighbor who goes to a large nondenominational church and she loves all the emotion/music from the service, but when talking with her one day she said she actually didn’t get how God and Jesus and The Holy Spirit were the same. There is a term out there today called “Christian Lite” referring to these types of churches that feed the emotions but are “lite” on the meaning(depth of the Bible) of who Jesus IS. Let’s pray for all these churches that are drawing in so many younger people and pray that they teach The Word of God in Jesus Name. AMEM.
At the age of 8, I began a life long walk with God through His Son Jesus Christ. I was saved when I was almost 12 and baptized in my very early 20’s. The Trinity has been my support all of my life. He has worked many miracles in my life perhaps not as dramatic as Tanish’s but life changing all the same.
Praise God for His Loving Miracles.

I am so thankful that I was saved at a little church twenty years or more ago. It was a good bible preaching church. That was the start of my true living for Jesus. Before that I went to the catholic church and never felt spiritually filled. I began searching for another church making a long story short, now I am going to a church which teaches the love that God has for us and how to live our lives for him. I can’t imagine worshiping an unliving thing. I fell bad for people who do and pray for them every day. I am so glad that God is real and that he loves me and wants me to be with him in heaven. This world ,Gods creation is so beautiful but it doesn’t compare to what heaven is going to be like. And we finally get to see Jesus face to face and worship him for ever more. Heaven is going to be a place where there is not going to be any sorrow or pain. My hope is to go there some day. I pray that the Lord will help me to fulfill that . That he will help me to rebuke satan and that he will open the eyes of my unsaved loved ones that they too will be in heaven some day. I am so thankful for these devotionals and you ladies. I get something out of every thing I read on here. May God bless and keep each and every one of you. Have a blessed week with Jesus.
Good Morning Dear Ones,
Before I became a Christian my idols where my job, family, home, car, clothes and lots of other material things. Sometimes it was my attitude, my works and service. All these things are fine as long as they are never more important than my relationship with Jesus. I still regularly need to re-evaluate where my focus is as I am a work in progress. Colossians 3:1-4 says “Since, then, you have been raised up with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set you minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.” I pray that each one of us will choose what is more important….setting our hearts on things above, not earthly things. Blessings to you all..Donna
It’s amazing how many churches don’t teach about a personal realationship with Jesus. That’s the way I grew up, my family was very “churched” (I grew up Anglican). Our Sunday school lesson was today was on Heaven, as our regular teacher was away he left a video for us to watch with Joni Eareckson Tada telling us her story and all about what she pictured heaven to be. Wow I sure wouldn’t want to miss that! It makes me think of all the people who were brought up the way I was and think they are Christian and going to heaven, but really don’t know how to get there. What if no one tells them, or if someone does and they don’t believe it, they will miss so much!!!
Later in my father’s life he became an Anglican minister (55), I noticed a difference in his beliefs beginning about then, and that made me think about it. It took me nearly 45 years after that to give my life to Jesus, but I am so glad I did!!! I know my father will meet me in heaven, but I am not sure about my mother, because she died 36 years ago and I really don’t know what her relationship with Christ was at that time, but I pray that it was close. My husband is not yet a christian, but there are many, many people praying for him!!!
Joy
joy i will be praying for your husband
bless you

The Unexpected Dance
I’m looking around, waiting for my partner
in the outer room, the courts of His chambers.
With anxious thoughts …
Will He notice me …
Do I look alright … as I stand dressed in white and my face veiled waiting for my
partner to arrive.
Then the throne room door opens …
With all eyes captured on Jesus …
There He is! … My Lord and Savior
How Magnificent!
How Majestic!
How Glorious!
But then, I put my head down low and sigh …
O’ He wouldn’t pick me … I’m so unworthy
But then, I felt a gentle hand lifting up
my bowed head and removing my veil.
As His loving eyes embrace with mine …
He takes my hand and walks me to the center
stage.
I noticed people gazing in awe, with a
smile and a sigh …
As He holds my waist and presses His face
close to mine, and whispers, I Love you my
precious bride.
I’m overwhelmed with tears pouring out of my heart and streaming down my face, speechless.
Saying silently in awe … Jesus picked me! He picked me! as His partner, bride and best friend.
This night and forever more, Jesus picked me!
As we continue to float across and circle,
my dress flowing, swishing to and fro,
dusting the throne room floor.
Our feet never once touched the holy ground … I followed right in step, along side as He swiftly turned and graciously
leaped as though we were dancing high above the clouds and entering through the
gates of heaven.
Nothing else mattered …
But His masculine, gentle, loving presence.
My heart, rapidly fluttered inside …
with an out pouring of His Holy Spirits Joy.
Now I’m holding my head up high …
with a vibrant glow and a capturing smile,
as if to say … with a loud joyful shout!
Look at me, I’ve been chosen …
I’ve been chosen to dance with the King … Jesus!
The Lord of my Life … Jesus!
My Beloved Bridegroom … Jesus!
My Brother and Best Friend … Jesus!
This gentle man named … Jesus!
My first love, my forever love, is Jesus!
The name above all names … Jesus!

Jackie, So sorry to hear about your parents loss. Praying for them and the rest of your family. Claiming Romans 8:28 for you. Believing God will comfort, bring peace, and bring something good out of this! Praise Him!!
Dear Jackie,
June L told me about the fire..and so glad she did..Had company yesterday and didn’t get to comment..am adding my prayers to hers..Love what she wrote you from Romans 8:28 and it is true..that HE will, somehow, bring something good out of this earthen calamity..We “see through a glass darkly” here, but He will defintely use it to their ultimate good.. and farther down in that same chapter Romans 8.. some more encouraging Word, too. in Verses 37:39..NOTHING will separate them for HIS Love which is enduring and withstands every test. We’ll pray He gives you all the strength you need to minister to them..and wisdom for days ahead. Please let us know how they are coming along (((Jackie and Parents))).
