Sing to the Lord a New Song! Is. 42:10 and Ps. 33:3

Do you need a new song in your heart? Tell us why and we will pray with you for God to give you one.

Wow…a new song! Consider that thought for just a moment.

How often does God hear from us the same woes, the same shame of the past, the same fear of the future? In this new year coming I pray you will come to the Lord with a new song and trust Him in places in your heart that you have never brought to Him. What could your new song be to the Lord?

To trust Him when you are weak and can go no farther in your own strength?

To relinquish control of situations that you cannot change?

To give Him the reins and complete control in circumstances that come against you?

To honor Him with praise and worship instead of whining woes or living in the past? I pray that you will  choose to live for Him in the present, in quietness and trust revering Him and bring Him a new song in your life!

Dear Lord, we come to you with a new song!  You are worthy of our praise!  Lord, we bring grateful hearts to You, fresh with the flavor of the grace You offered us on the cross to make a way for us to have relationship with You and to be free of the sin that binds our hearts…basking in the forgiveness of Jesus…Glory and praise be to You, Abba of all mercy, faithful and true, lover of our souls, unchanging and Mighty God.

Thank You for putting a new song in our hearts! This world is not our home nor can it steer our course, but life is in You and in Your Word for us…We sing to You, Lord, a new song!  May we sing it mightily and loudly in our lives! A song of joy, of trust, of drinking in Your grace and truth! Help us to make music with our life in You so others may hear Your melody of love for them. Amen

Questions:
Is there a song in your heart these days?
Are you living in the past with yesterdays woes or triumphs?
Why not ask Him for a new song for today?

My desire is that just as every day is a New Day, that God would also put a New Song in my Heart each day, to not take it for granted but to be thankful for the many, many Blessings I have and not dwell on the negative but look forward to that New Song Each and Every Morning. My desire is to be willing and available to sing that song in encouraging
and sharing the love of Jesus at every opportunity I am given.
Doris oh my heart aches for you and your family, please know that I will be praying for you all and also Maia I will be praying for your husband too. Hugs & Prayers, Linda

Nancy, beautiful devotional this morning…wonderful to reflect on as I apply it personally to my life. Praying that we will each have a spirit of faith as we keeped focused on Jesus and trust Him with every situation in our lives. “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:17,18

Praying for you and your family Doris and also for your husband Maia. With a thankful heart sending love and blessings to each of you. DonnaLxxx

    Dear Ladies,

Just wanted to share with all of you that many times through my most difficult challenges in life God had always placed a new song in my heart just when i needed it the most. The one thing that i do know is that this “new song” only comes when i turn to HIM for the help and the assurance and the guidance that i need and not to everyone else that is around me.

No one else truly knows the inner HURTS and PAINS and CHALLENGES that are within me other than the one whom created me. When i am at my witts end with things and cirrcumstances I seek him through prayer to get me through it all and in the midst of it all some how beautiful words of melody and peace gets me through it all. Those are my NEW SONGS to the LORD while going through the difficult times not after when all is said and done. We need to sing unto him while we are in the midst of our storms and thus gets us through it so much quicker than if we choose to complain and moun through it all.

May the Lord put a NEW SONG in each and every one of your hearts while you are still going through the difficulties that each and every one of us are in.

Hi Susan and others commenting here today,
I know for me personally, the more I try “harder” in my own life, the less I allow God into the pain and hurt. Our Lord is always available to step into the yoke of hard times to help us. The song I sing to Him these days is one of trust..trusting that He is able, that He is faithful and that even through the hardest of times as I keep my eyes on Him and not the difficulty, that He
is there teaching and leading and guiding.
May the song in our heart be a part of His symphony allowing Him to use our life for His purpose and plan and our trusting Him in each step, measure and phrase of our melody.
I have discovered that there IS full redemption in Jesus, as the Word tells us;restoration, renewing, life-changing transforming power!
I pray for each lady responding today to let God be God and to place your heart, all of it, in His loving hands. He is faithful to complete the work He has begun. Draw the song in your heart near to Him each day. Sing a song of praise, for He is mighty to accomplish His purpose in our lives as we give Him the song of our hearts.
As I began to learn to practice singing to Him instead of the woes and dark places in my life and past, these verses comforted me and pressed me into trusting our Lord. I pray they do the same for you.
    Psalm 62:
5 Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him.
6 He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will
    not be shaken.
7 My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
8 Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.

Always remember, I remind myself often as well, that one thing we cannot let the enemy take away is our praise. No matter what may be going on in our lives, our praise and worship brings us closer to Him and what problems seems so big seem to turn into small. KEEP YOUR PRAISE ON!!!!

  • maia says:

What a great reminder of singing a new song!! I think we all get stuck at time repeating ourselves with prayers we feel like God does’nt hear, But have hope in knowing he DOES hear our prayers…Just a note to ask that all of you be in prayer for my husband he left this morning for a missions trip to Ecuador, please pray that God will open his heart to hear the call he has on his life..

what a beautiful thought. I have just come thru a terrible accident and am finally walking and moving again. While I was wheelchair bound (for months!) I kept thinking that the Lord has something for me to accomplish with my life. Now that I am much better I have slipped back into the “daily grind” of life. Help me Lord to be an instrument for you so that people will see your love through me. Thank you Jesus for my life and my family

Many years ago I read a book by Pat Boone entitled A New SONG and it blesed my heart.
I’m going to try to find it and read it again.

  • Doris Renshaw says:

I’m in good company today as I read others’ requests for a new song in their hearts. This life is so filled with trials and I fail many of them. My nephew committed suicide two weeks ago and I should have known that he needed comforting and it went by me. I feel badly about not being able to help him and give him the support that he needed. Please pray for us, me and my sister, and his family. He left a wife and 3 children.

  • Susan says:

Thank you for this reminder Nancy. You can read above the people who are trying hard. It is not only me and we all have our own woes… maybe too if we pray more for others we will focus less on ourselves? When I think of my Mum’s constant pain from artheritis I envy her… WHY?… because my pain in my heart is too grand for me at times… the “real”pain, maybe at least I could deal with that. I see my parents really in love and helping each other as we all should live.
So I will try to have a new song. I deserve that and will also be more effective that way and to be with my daughter. I will pray more for all of you and the children of this world. We need peace and let it start in our own hearts.
    Thank you Nancy.

  • Oh Lord, I’ve been feeling so discouraged about my marriage/family. Please give me a new song of trust and hope in you.

    Lord Jesus,

I need a new song..one of faith, strength, encouragement and peace. In Jesus Name………..

  • CHRIS says:

I SURE COULD USE WITH A NEW SONG IN MY HEART. AS MANY OTHERS KNOW AND FEEL WITH THEIR OWN CHRONIC PAINS ETC. I COULD USE WITH THE SURGERY INSTEAD. I AM GOING TO BE WORKING THIS YEAR ON MAKING SURE THE SURGERY I NEED DONE GETS DONE IN STEAD OF WHINNING ABOUT THE PAIN AND NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I AM GOING TO BE MAKING SURE THE SURGERY IN MY KNEE AND SHOULDER GETS DONE AND NOT JUST TALKING ABOUT IT.
