We pray for the people in Carla's areas today as they experience this power outage. Lord, we ask that You would lead help to the very old and the very young who might be unable to help themselves. Spread compassion and love throughout these communities as people reach out to help and comfort one another. Grant the workers wisdom as to how to fix the problem. Give them strength to get the job done. Lord, give strength and courage to this community and help them to reach out to one another in ways they never have. Use this difficult experience to connect people with one another in ways that would never happen on an ordinary day. Give Carla the words of encouragement that she needs today and bless her as she shares encouragement with those around her.
