Hi Joanne Boy do I know what you mean – all those little decisions – then it seems the bigger ones take care of themselves. God’s revelation seems to come easier the more time I spend in His Word and with Him. Lately , Ive used a phrase I recently read about someone I regard as a woman of great faith – When you don’t know what to do – do the next thing! It seemed silly at the time ,but it keeps coming back to me as “don’t allow indecision to paralyze you” I ,like you, am desiring to improve my”batting average”.
I’m currently struggling with having confidence that the “idea” that comes to me is from God and I should act on it or do the “wait on theLord” Hope this makes sense. loreli, THANKS-THANKS-THANKS

I truly think the goal is to get up everyday and love as much as you can, forgive quickly, help if needed and encourage when given the chance and let God teach and lead. Exodus 14;14 tells us that if we let him he will fight our battles, if we are still.

Joanna, I, too, will try to answer your question as I understand it.

God does indeed give us free choice, and we do often suffer the consequences of bad ones, but God still has a good plan for you. He tells us in Jeremiah 29 that He has “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”

But we must do our part to live in that plan. We must avoid those things that we know short-circuit our relationship with Him and spend time before Him before making major decisions for our lives. We must surrender our self-will in order to live within His will, and ensure that what we are doing/want to do lines up with His Word.

The really great thing is that when we blow it and walk outside of His will He is always willing to give us a second chance.

This doesn’t mean that we won’t still pay some of the consequences of our mistakes or experience some of the consequences of the sins of the world and those around us, but it does mean that we can rest in the fact that God is walking through it with us and that He sees the end from the beginning. Paul tells us in Phillipians 1 that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. In Jude we read that God is able to keep us from falling and to present us before His glorious presence without fault, and with great joy.

Praying that God will encourage you as you seek His plan for you.

Iam so grateful for his grace and mercy in my life. As I often reflect back on the paths I chose for my life and how God continously kept me wrapped in his arms, I always find comfort. When my life gets disaray I’m reminded to sit down and move out of the way so he can do what he has always done for me.. bringing me peace, joy and understanding. Iam so blessed to know him and and have him head of my life.

i haven’t alway made good choises in my life . 2 weeks ago proves that is still true today where my pain is conserned i can only as GOD AND JESUS TO GUIDE ME THROUGH THIS AND THAT THE DOCTORS MAKE THE BEST DECION TO BE ABLE TO DEAL WITH MY PAIN.

Yes, the Lord is indeed the great Architect. All things are in his hands and each morning of my life I am grateful to Him. It is my prayer that He’d continue to lead, guide and direct my path. Help me make the best decisions according to His will and purpose for my life. Knowing that if I go through the storms of life it would equip me and even make me a better person and be able to help others. Lord I am truly grateful.

Thanks Gail for the great reminder that every morning when we open our eyes, we must thank GOD for a good night rest and opportunity to live a life for HIM. I must always invite to rule and reign in my life as HE continues to write my life story.

May I quote you Joanna?

My response to you is found in James 1:17 NIV
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the FATHER of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”

All our wisdom, health and all great blessings comes from GOD who give it all to us because we are HIS creation. When we receive CHRIST HE enthrone HIMSELF in our body, soul and spirit not unless we push HIM out from there and put ourselves because we thought we can do a better job or decision. But even our thoughts belongs to HIM. So I must prostrate myself every morning and say, “Lord, please take over. Have a control in all the facets of my life” then I confidently walk all day talking to HIM whatever I do and I see HIS hands in all areas of my life. For me, life is that easy whether I walk thru difficulties, trials, good times and bad times.
