Loreli, I was thinking thatit was your son who was needing prayer. Sorry. I do pray that the Lord will lead Teresa and her husband to cast their care on Him and lead them in being a witness to His provision and care for even the tiniest sparrow. This has been a hard lesson for me to accept. My nephew committed suicide six weeks ago and it hurts so much to know that he wasn't able to let his mother and I know the extend of his desperation. Maybe he could have received some hope of he could have. At least they know that he is hurting.

Dear Jesus I just ask that you will be with Maia and her husband this Easter weekend as her stepson is coming to visit. Lord you see the confrontation and difficulties that they have faced in the past and I just pray that you will help him to be very respectful, kind, helpful and obedient while he is there with his dad, stepmom & brothers and sisters. Lord I just pray you will do a real work in his life. Help his dad to have an opportunity to sit down one on one with him and talk to him about what is going on in his life & pray with him to ask You to help him sort these things out in his life. Lord just be with each and everyone and Help this to be the Best Easter they have ever Celebrated together In Your Name I Pray. Amen! Hugs,Linda!!!

I want to share, that our God is still a miracle working God. And like you said Loreli sometimes we have to leave things at the feet of Jesus. Put that situation in God's hands. I have a grown son that had been on drugs for a while so I started speaking positive words over my son every day like, Lord I thank you that Steven is healed of drugs that the addiction and the craving is gone in Jesus name and that his life is and will be changed for the better. I spoke that every single day for months and now my son is clean of drugs no longer wants them. He also stays away from the people that he did drugs with. He is married with 2 son's and doing great. I'm so proud of him. Because I put him in God's hands and spoke positive words over him each day. Our God is a loving God, He proved His love for us by what He did for us on the cross. I think of Mary Jesus Mother what she must have went through seeing her son on the cross and the things that she saw her son go through. I believe that a Mother's Love is the closest thing to what Jesus's love is all about. A mother never gives up on her child and no matter what that child may do or disapointment in that child a mothers love is always there no matter what.....Shirley

I want to add that as I have prayed for my own 16 year old son there are many times in his rebellion that I and my husband have had to simply leave him at the feet of Jesus. We do not know the path each other walks so let's not judge or try in our own flesh to condemn, just love and support each other, after all isn't that what this devotional is all about unconditional love.

Doris I meant no disrespect in any way towards Teresa. Being a crisis counselor I am often faced with this same situation many times a week and often I help people face the reality and truth of situations. Life is hard, we need the help of friends that will be honest enough to turn our hearts to Christ because after all it is he that heals not us. At Easter it is especially true that the Love of God was presented through suffering and pain ,but it turned our hearts to our Savior,Our deliverer.Teresa you are strong and many times we are stronger than we ever give ourselves credit for especially as women we take on so much. The heart of God is always standing there ready for us to trust him with all our pain. God Bless you Doris and Teresa.

Dear Teresa, I would encourage you and your husband to consider talking with your son's school counselor about your concerns. The symptoms that you have described -- withdrawal from friends and family -- could possibly be signs of depression. His counselor might be helpful in advising you. Some school districts have school psychologists available for consulting. As you have offered limited information here, there are many possible causes for your son's withdrawal, as some of the women here have mentioned. But, your son needs help, and while you may not know what the problem is, I would encourage you to seek counsel and an evaluation, as recommended. Your precious son may not recognize his withdrawal, and therefore would not say anything. Depression distorts ones ability to see reality, and causes one to retreat from the world. While I cannot say that your son is depressed, it is certainly worthy of consideration. May God guide your steps, dear Teresa, giving you His wisdom in caring for your son!

Precious Lord, You know how agonizing it is for a mother's heart to carry such a burden for a struggling child! You made our hearts to be tender and soft for our children, that we would nurture them and care for them! When our children are hurting, Lord, all else seems not to matter. We lift up our sister Teresa and her family to You, Lord, asking that You would bring them the help that is needed. Protect her precious son from drifting further away, keep him safe in Your sight! Give his parents wisdom to intercede on his behalf, and direct them, Father, to the appropriate persons who will be able to help him! Lord, reassure them of Your faithfulness, that You will lead them forward, and be with them each step of the way! Help them to trust You in all things! In the powerful Name of Jesus, Amen!

Like Teresa, todays devotion hit home with me...I recieved a phone call from my husbands ex-wife this morning concerning my stepson, she said that he had tried to hit a teacher at school yesterday...I have to admitt that my relationship with my stepson is not a great one and this very thing happen at my house only a few months ago.. he tried to hit me because he said only his father told him what to do...he is very explosive and angry, and his mother is very unstable, I'm sure thats where he gets alot of his anger, his mother says she is going to take him to a psychiatrist, but I have a problem with this because where she will be taking him they give pills to kids and a pill is not the solution to this problem. My husband has tried to step in and the courts side with his mother..Please be in prayer, he will be coming to our house this weekend and I already feel very stressed..pray that I have the right words as my husband and I try to work through this, I have three children at home and there is alot of tension when my stepson is there, because they saw him try to hit me that day, Please pray that God will guide our steps and be with him when he has to go back to his moms house Sunday..

Thank you, Gail, for the continuation of the names of God and what each means and how we can pray using them. It opens a door in my understanding of Him. (I just wish I could remember it all---I have no short term memory---but I do save the devotionals).

I, too, have lifted up the prayer requests for Teresa, Cheryl, and Toni to the Lord.
Dear sisters in Christ, I pray you feel the love and encouragement through the prayers from your sisters in Christ. May the Lord be with you and may you, your son and friends feel His love, guidance, and encouragement through your needs and theirs. I pray for a support system for each one in need. In Jesus's Name Amen.
