**Are you a victim caught in the tragedy of abuse? Please take this study to discover tools to deal with this. http://thelife.com/study/dealingabuse.html?section=dealingabuse

We live in a world full of injustice. Things happen to people… by people… that never should happen. In those times that leave one reeling we know that our God will be the The Rock of our lives. He will hold us fast and He will judge with righteousness and integrity.

Our part is to allow Him to be the Judge and to stand firmly on Him as our Rock and the steadfast hope of our lives.

For the scripture references on this name please go to http://truthmedia.com/training/attributes_god/

~Father God,
Thank you that one of Your names is the LORD of justice. Thank you for the reminder today that You will act justly. I trust You today to handle the injustices of my life. Thank you that You are the Rock of Salvation and Your righteousness, uprightness and fairness will prevail as I leave the judging to You.

You alone are the one true lawgiver and judge who alone is to be feared. You are the high and lofty One who is the Rock of Ages. Your word tells us that Your justice is like the great deep. That is Salvation that I can depend on as I invite You to bring redemption to the injustices in my life.

Lord God, I ask today that I would not place myself as judge over those who have shown me injustice. I lean on Your word today that is flawless and powerful and eternal. Fill me with Your Spirit as I empty myself of judgment and leave it for You to deal with.

May my heart be refreshed today as I lean on Your holiness and integrity. Allow my mind and heart to be immersed in Your holiness. I lay any critical attitudes at Your feet toward those who have wronged me and I ask You to be the Judge. I stand on You, my Rock and rest securely in Your love and mercy. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

Questions: Are you experiencing injustice in your life? How are you handling it?

Now I live near Toronto and miss water very much. boo hoo hoo!
    My niece lives in Sooke.
There are other Canadians in our Company of Wonderful Women too I believe?

  • Linda R says:

Andi, I just wanted to tell you that I live in Canada too. I live in British Columbia on Vancouver Island. I think there are a few of us Canadians on here now. Have A Great Day as you will probably read this tomorrow with the time difference. Hugs Linda!!!

  • Marilyn says:

Wonderful, merciful Savior, precious Redeemer, and King . . . we lift up our heart in praise and worship, for You reign over all with righteousness and grace! From everlasting to everlasting, You are the great I AM; You speak and all of creation trembles! And, yet Your Word tells us that You long to ‘gather us under Your wings, like a mother hen gather’s her chicks.’ You are our Protector! Lord, we ask that You would draw our precious sister, Patti, close to You, tuck her safely under Your wing! She needs Your strength right now as she prepares to search her past and uncover old wounds with this counselor that You have provided! Guide their time together, Lord, that he would be sensitive and wise, and she would feel safe to share. May Your Holy Presence be so evident, that they know they are approved! And, Lord, may this be the beginning of the end of Patti’s suffering from her childhood memories that have held her hostage for so long! In the most powerful Name of Jesus, Amen!

  • Barbara says:

Dear Linda, Thank You so much for letting us know about Patti. I will be praying that she receives the proper help that she needs to get through this stormy time of her life. I have blessed FAITH that God will heal Patti from all of her past wounds for I am a living testimony that HE does set the captives free.

    In Jesus Name I Pray,

    Amen

    Barbara

    Marilyn….

Am here today and appreciate you so much…(((Marilyn))) and know you have a heart for HIM!!! Am about to run do needed errands..But am surrounded by love, friendship and prayers from this special place..and thank you all!

This thought comes to me as I log off?! Some of the most beautiful bird “symphonies” come out of those “caged experiences”..in them… and the same true in us! Today? Am Praising Him for everything HE has allowed..and all the “lessons” He is teaching..HE is bringing out the “…Mary in a Martha World”..that Romel mentioned…Being in His Presence as Mary did ..a blessing..All of us here..seeking that!!! Bless each and all, dear ones!!!

Thank You, Father..and please bless every dear lady here..and “expand their territories” on behalf of your Precious Kingdom..They are “witnesses” by being, loving you, and reaching that love out to others.

  • Marilyn says:

I can help you — our precious sister, Fran, shared Madame Guyon’s poem of the caged bird. We don’t see enough of her on the blog these days, as she has felt called to meditate on God’s Word and pray for all of us here! Fran’s spiritual wisdom and her love for the Lord are truly a blessing for us when she can share!

  • Romel H says:

Sweetie Andi, I was not the one who quote Madame Guyon but I do have her book and might have packed it already. I’m in the middle of packing and had given so many books away from my library. library is the hardest to pack. I kept on digging for something in what I already packed.

I felt that I would like to start a teaching on bibding and loosing prayers in the board and messaging section but maybe in a few weeks, since I’m in the middle of moving plus I;m hosting a Reunion next month for our 1963 Nursing Class.

I will see if I can find Madam Guyon’s book among my packed books, lol. We might like to go back and see who posted the poem (?) of Madam Guyon. She might have all the information.

  • Fran D. says:

    Sharon B!!!

You wrote while I was answering Andi about that quote!

YOU are another “armor bearer” for Him and a quiet, gentle daughter who sincerely prays for us all and blesses us!

Thank you, Dear Lord, for sending these Sisters to bless in your Name..We appreciate YOU and them sooooo much!!!!

  • Fran D. says:

    Andi…

That quote was from a wonderful, old Devotional that is still put into print again and again..called “Streams in the Desert” by Mrs. L.B. Cowman..Have read it through so many times here..my husband and I both, that the pages are very used!

The quote you liked..mentioned in that reading yesterday..is by Madam Guyon. She was imprisoned for her faith..but her writings still glow today. Her book “Experiencing God Through Prayer”, a small powerful book by Madame Guyon is a blessing.

The precious Canadian I mentioned…LindaR…A loving handmaiden to the Lord who ministers to others in spite of physical pain she deals with. Her loving nonjudgmental ways bless me here often! I don’t think she’d mind my mentioning that she lives in British Columbia (and I wouldn’t be surprised, at all, if her spot there “glowed”..She’s a true daughter of the Lord..Her words and actions speak “volumes”).

Am also believing in and for our Dear Sister Patti, along with the rest of you..And believing the Lord is bringing her all the way over that “Victory Line” we can have with Him and His Loving Guidance..You, Go, Patti1!!!! Remember today..the amazing battles you’ve already won with Him heading up your battle 2nd Chronicles 20:15…Hallelujah and Amen!!!!

  • Andi says:

Romel, thanks for the quote from Madame Guyon. What is the title of the book please?
Who is the Canadian? I’m Canadian too!
I’ve just been given a book, “IT God is so Good, Why Do I Hurt So Bad?” by David B. Biebel. Looks to be a well balanced one.

The Book on the 23 Psalms from my husband is an awesome little book. Based on a gentelman’s journal entries thru a hard time as God taught him much.

Yvonne, welcome yet again. Where in Oz do you live? I’ve been to Sydney, Canberra and Brisbane a few times as well as up north doing a bit of touring when our son and his wife lived in Brisbane. We also lived in Tonga for 2 years. My husband loves OZ and if we weren’t so old we’d migrate he says! LOL!!!

  • Andi says:

Patti, I’ll be praying as well. What a relief that God has brought a counselor to help you. We will all be praying for wisdom from above as you and he work your way thru this time. Healing is coming and soon you’ll be flying w/the wings of an eagle, running and not growing weary and will know the hopes, and plans and purpose which HE has in store for you dear sister and friend. You will begin to live out of HIS promises and be able to tell the evil one to go away.
As one of the other ladies mentioned about ‘binding and loosing,’ may all the promises of God be loosed over you and may you be bound with ropes of the Holy Spirit to all that is wonderful & glorious in Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour and soon coming King. May HIS great mercy and grace be loosed over you……in Jesus mighty name. Amen!
    Keep in touch.

  • Fran D. says:

Bless you Marilyn and Sharon for your prayers..along with Romel’s in bond of agreement for us.

Didn’t mean to put the focus on my husband and I and our earthen challenges here..We “have” turned all over to Lord Jesus who is the best fianancial advisor there is!!! Wanted to reach out to Romel with those beautiful words in that devotional yesterday. And used some things we are going through as example! HE is so faithful and each day here we seek HIS Wisdom and Guidance..”What do YOU want us to do today, Lord, please guide our footsteps and actions”…

He never fails with an answer. Sometimes, it is “wait and TRUST”..A beloved sister and friend in Canada who lovingly ministers here..wrote that beautiful phrase “Trust in HIM” on an email this morning. It was the first thing my eyes saw on the email..and what a blessing! Not advising..Not judging ..just gently reminding “Trust in HIM”!!! Amen!! She taught me by gentle example this morning how to minister to others…Am Praising for that!

But you ladies are all dear and caring and I “know” am saturated today in your loving, prayers..and I humbly thank each and every one of you, too!

GOD is in Control!!!! Hallelujah and Amen!!!!

THANK YOU LORD! What a joy to know that you are at work in Patti’s life in this wonderful way. We join with her in her cry for freedom, and lift her up to Your throne.

  • Linda R says:

Dear Ladies, First of all I am choosing this day as I believe it is the last time Patti has written on the Blog. I just got off the phone with Patti and she has asked if I would come on here and ask if you all would be kind enough to Bathe her in Prayer Over The Next few weeks maybe even months. As starting tomorrow she will be seeing a “Christian Psychologist” for Counseling. God has so Graciously provided her with this Christian Counselor so now she would like us to Pray for Freedom from past hurts etc and that The Lord would Give This Man The Wisdom, Guidance, and Understanding on how to Minister to her.
Thank you ladies and May God Bless Each & Everyone of You For Your Faithfulness! Hugs Linda!!!

  • Marilyn says:

Am joining Romel H in agreement in prayers for our dear sister, Fran and her husband!

Precious Lord Jesus, we thank You that You have invited us to come before You with our burdens and concerns and set them at Your feet! You are faithful to take our cares and exchange them for Your peace! We trust You with our needs, knowing that Your resources are unlimited! Tonight, Lord, we ask for Your grace to be poured out on sweet sister, Fran, and her husband — take this huge financial burden that has weighed so heavily on their hearts in recent weeks, and deliver them from their ‘mountain of debt.’ Lead them to Godly counsel, we pray, that would direct them toward financial freedom! And may Your provision for them bring You all the glory and praise! In the most blessed Name of Jesus, Amen!

  • Fran D. says:

Precious Romel…You are very dear and your heartfelt prayers are cherished, too! Your special presence here blesses us all… Am praying for you, too, that HE meet every need. Thank you so very, very Much (((((((Romel)))))))

  • Romel H says:

    Correction:
“Father I pray that YOU will lead Fran and her husband to that person whom YOU have fiancial skills to help YOUR children out of the financial imprisonment, In JESUS name, amen.
    Amen= so be it.

  • Romel H says:

    Fran D:
“Am forgiving that gentleman and realizing that he may challenged in other ways.. just as we are on our end! But the reading blessed me..Have read the devotional many times before..But today’s jumped out. Am praying it blesses you because you have blessed us all by your sincere sharings!!!”

Thanks so much my dear sister Fran for sharing it. I felt so blessed surrounded by caring sisters. We are glad when we are in the midst of struggles and hard predicaments of life. It is when we are in this kinds of imprisonments that we become wise and learned how to defeat the enemies so we can teach others who are following our crumbs. GOD is a GOD of miraclesw who is able to turn our situations around. I’ll be praying for you Fran D, your husband and your financial situation. TO GOD nothing is impossible. I had gone to a financial siminar and through working with a godly financial analyst and manager you can get out that debts peacefully. May GOD lead you to that someone who has that financial knowledge to help you out your financial situation.
“FAther, I pray that YOU will lead Fran and her husband to that person who had given skills in finances to help YOUR chioldren out of the financial imprrisonment, in JESUS name. Amen! (So be it!)

    God bless dear sister.

  • Fran D. says:

Thank you, dear Marilyn, for mentioning those powerful verses in Acts..Am familiar with them and they are marked in our Bibles here! Am so glad you brought them here today and shared..

No matter what “chains” try and overtake any of us? Praise, Worship and Prayer can unloosen any shackles the enemy “tries” to put on us. And, Marilyn is absoluely right, HE will use all circumstances..and His Glory, Mercy, and Faithfulness “will” shine through…Hallelujah and Amen and AMEN!!!!!

  • Marilyn says:

Hi Fran — absolutely love that beautiful poem! Thank you so much for sharing it, your thoughts and the excerpt from ‘Streams in the Desert!’ It is always wonderful to hear from you, dear sister! Another example of ‘Joy in Prison’ can be found in Acts 16:20-34. Paul and Silas were imprisoned for proclaiming the Gospel, after being stripped and beaten with rods by the magistrates. But, at the midnight hour, Paul and Silas could be heard singing hymns and praises, and praying. Even their opportunity to flee was trumped by their love and devotion to their Lord and Savior! Their joy in suffering for Christ was pivotal in drawing the guard to seek the way of salvation! Our circumstances are always usable by God to show His glory, His mercy, and His faithfulness!

  • Fran D. says:

    Dear Romel…

Today’s reading in the Streams in the Desert devotional reminded me of the heartfelt words you wrote on this devotional and am going to post it for you today. Am giving credit for it..so am “praying” there’s no problem posting it. My husband and I were deeply hurt by a business associates words and actions towards us over the weekend, but this reading today blessed and helped. The Lord showed our hearts, that this gentleman may be in a “prison” in his own circumstances that we aren’t aware about. We are battling a huge Mountain of debt and being bombarded..But HE is still on HIS THRONE..and encourages us in seemingly impossible circumstances! Am forgiving that gentleman and realizing that he may challenged in other ways.. just as we are on our end! But the reading blessed me..Have read the devotional many times before..But today’s jumped out. Am praying it blesses you because you have blessed us all by your sincere sharings!!! This is from “Streams in the Desert” by Mrs. L.B. Cowman and you being the student you are likely already familiar with her. Her beloved husband went to the Lord, too, like what you experienced. Her powerful Devotional has blessed my husband and I over these years of trial in finances and I humbly submit it today to bless you and others that may be blessed by it, too:

    April 13

    Joy in Prison
“And Joseph’s master took him, and put him into a prison . . . But Jehovah was with Joseph . . . and that which he did, Jehovah made it to prosper” (Gen. 39:20-23).

When God lets us go to prison because we have been serving Him, and goes there with us, prison is about the most blessed place in the world that we could be in. Joseph seems to have known that. He did not sulk and grow discouraged and rebellious because .”everything was against him.” If he had, the prison-keeper would never have trusted him so. Joseph does not even seem to have pitied himself.
Let us remember that if self-pity is allowed to set in, that is the end of us–until it is cast utterly from us. Joseph just turned over everything in joyous trust to God, and so the keeper of the prison turned over everything to Joseph. Lord Jesus, when the prison doors close in on me, keep me trusting, and keep my joy full and abounding. Prosper Thy work through me in prison: even there, make me free indeed.–Selected

    A little bird I am,
Shut from the fields of air,
And in my cage I sit and sing
    To Him who placed me there;
Well pleased a prisoner to be,
Because, my God, it pleaseth Thee.

    My cage confines me round,
    Abroad I cannot fly,
But though my wing is closely bound,
    My soul is at liberty;
    For prison walls cannot control
The flight, the freedom of the soul.

I have learnt to love the darkness of sorrow; there you see the brightness of His face.

  • Yvonne says:

Thank you ladies for you input – such good advice and wise words. Looking forward to getting to know you all better and supporting each other in prayer.

  • Marilyn says:

Hi Yvonne! Do not be concerned that you ‘opened up a can of worms’, as it has encouraged dialogue on the subject of forgiveness and reconciliation, which is good! Patricia and I came to the realization that we were discussing different aspects of transgressions and forgiveness, and came to the conclusion that both were valid considerations. As for the Christian woman in your church who hurt you so deeply, I am very sorry for your heartbreak, Yvonne! Though saved by His grace, we Christians are still flawed, and the Holy Spirit in us needs time to purge us of our sinful natures. You are wise to forgive her, and time will heal your heart. As for whether or not you should approach her regarding this hurt, a lot depends on your relationship with this woman. If you have a working relationship, then I would encourage you to ask if you may speak with her over coffee. This is a less threatening environment, and she may be more receptive to your sharing. A humble, reverent attitude is usually effective in helping the other person not feel scolded or ashamed. The goal should be reconciliation, not to induce guilt or shame. Conviction is the Holy Spirit’s job! With a heart desiring restoration, God would surely lift that burden off your heart, and set you free from continued hurt. Remember, God knows our motives, so if there is any doubt in your heart, then spend more time in prayer about it. If, on the other hand, you do not have a working relationship with her, and are merely acquaintances at church, then you might just consider praying for her, and limit your exposure to her. Since you find her judgemental and critical, I would encourage you to seek fellowship with other Christian women at your church, who reflect the love of Jesus more clearly. God bless!

  • Margaret says:

I was once in that predictament. I wanted to not talk to this person for a while as I was hurt. It was like that for 9 years. I was convinced I would never talk to this person again. Well I worked through the hurt and I prayed about this and than I asked the Lord whether it was okay to pursue the friendship. The Lord gave me the go ahead. The person apologized from the old wound which I never thought would happen. I am glad I have this person in my life. I had to listen to God for myself not what others wanted me to do!

  • patricia says:

    Dear Yvonne

From my understanding forgiving someone doesn’t mean setting ourselves up to be hurt again. From what you have said it would seem to be quite okay to keep your distance. All that I see God demanding in this situation is that you not use this against her in anyway such as turning others against her or running her down amongst your common acquaintances, and you have given no indicaton that you ae doing this.

  • Marilyn says:

Dear Linda R, Fran, and Judy D, I want to thank you all so very much for your kindness in offering prayers for my husband today — what a sweet blessing you are and I am trusting the Lord to use them to accomplish His plan for us! Your love for the Lord is clearly reflected in your love for His children! Thank you, dear sisters, for your faithful witness!

  • Yvonne says:

Hello again! Thanks for your very warm welcome! I do feel your christian love, thank you. You all made me very teary – I so need to know that there is someone who cares!

It seems I opened up a can of worms, Patricia and Marilyn! Forgiveness is such a tricky subject, and these discussions can bring up lots of emotions as we have all be hurt at some point in our lives. In my situation at the moment, I was deeply hurt by another christian woman in my church. I have thought about talking to her about it, but I know that her action was deliberate and I don’t think me talking to her is going to make her aware of her sin. I think that she would stand by what she did and say she did nothing wrong. So I came to the conclusion that it is God’s place to convict her, not me. It means now though that I am wary of her and do not go out of my way to spend time with her. I don’t know if this is ok or not. I have forgiven her and do not feel bitter anymore, but I recognise her as she is and feel it is best for me not to get too close in a relationship. She is one of these christians who are very judgemental and sees it is her place to tell others where they are failing (and by the way, it is often man-made rules, not biblical commands from God).

I feel that me stumbling across this site was planned by God when I desperately need spiritual feeding and fellowship. So I plan on grasping this with both hands and allow God to use it to restore my soul.

Pattie…. I will pray for you. I know from experience the amazing things that God can do to heal our hearts. He is the expert in “re-creation”. I know that the trials you are going through are allowed by him for a purpose – Romans 8:28. I’ll pray that there will be good come out of this time for you – that your faith will be strengthened and you will learn more about your God and yourself.
