With what goes on in the world today, getting on an airplane is a matter of trust. Anything could happen, and if there’s a major problem when that plane starts to crash you may regret that you didn’t take the train to your destination.
It was recently discovered that a number of American Airlines airplanes were found to have improperly wrapped wiring bundles, a technical problem that could cause some major malfunctions. What could have happened if people had trusted that plane?
Apparently American’s airplanes are now up and running again and safe to ride. According to the New York Times, "American Airlines said that its fleet of 300 MD-80 jetliners was back to full strength on Sunday, following the cancellation of about 3,300 flights last week, and that its operations were returning to normal."
Imagine what could have happened if those mistakes had gone unnoticed. How many people might have lost their lives? It definitely brings up some trust issues between the company and its passengers.
Can trust be regained? How long does it take for trust to build up in a person or company after they have broken that trust?
