“Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases;
Who redeems your life from destruction; who crowns you with loving- kindness and tender mercies;
Who satisfies your mouth with good things; so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.” Psalm 103: 1-5

Heavenly Father,
This morning I am so grateful that You are my healer. You are the one who puts Your salve of comfort on my heart when I need it. You help me to forgive so that the disease of bitter un-forgiveness cannot take over my mind and body.

You redeem that which I have messed up and you pardon, purify and cleanse me. Oh Lord, there is no need for any of us to walk limping for Your grace brings healing to our minds and hearts. Inward healing is our first need, Lord. Thank you for Your provision.

Thank you that you also care about my physical state and are able to bring healing to my body and my bones. Where there are those of us who are seeing doctors, grant them divine wisdom in providing treatment; Grant us understanding in maintaining our own wellness and lead us.

You are our Hope, the Lamp who guides our lives by Your Spirit and through Your word. Counsel us today. Be our helper, our keeper. Thank you that You are our shade, our joy and our strength.

Today I put my life, my health and all that is me into Your loving hands with faith and trust that You will walk every step with me today.

When I am bedridden may your presence surround me and comfort me.
O Lord, my healer, I praise Your name today and ask this in Your powerful name, amen.

Questions: What area of internal or external healing do you want to commit to the Lord today? Why not say it in one line and the next person can pray for you here today. Let’s pray for one another….

Lord Jesus I pray that Mary Ann will run to Jesus and live! I pray that she will tell you Jesus exactly how empty and loss she is feeling. I pray that she will Ask him to Open her heart to your love and take the things that is hindering her from being close to her. MaryAnn I hope that soon you will be rejoicing at what Jesus is doing in your life. Rest in the depths of his love!

I share a poem I wrote that talks about a Heart Changed by God’s Word.
A Heart Changed by God’s Word
God’s word mirrors the condition of our mismatched heart
    A heart marred with sin
That only God can only make clean
When we own up to the condition of our Heart
He exchagnes our torn broken heart
So that our heart is mended and made brand new
    A heart focused on God
Compelling us in our thoughts to love him to serve
    To find nourishent.Cleansing us
    Our hearts delight
    to follow God’s path
    Seeking His will daily
    By what we watch
    Dwelling on negative thoughts
How we respond by showing love to those we hold dearly
A heart attentive to God’s word
A heart rescued on wanting God’s will
    Instead of our own Way
Shows our hearts and Lives are changed by God.

I am so glad that Jesus is my healer. I have been running in the wrong direction, I feel like the pordical daughter that dose not know when to go home to her Father. I have been so upthight and miserable that I do not even like being with myself. I listen to worship music and try to read my Bible, but feel so empty and loss.

  • Patti says:

Sheila…I understand broken relationships and the bitterness and strife that follows.

Lord, You know the broken relationships in Sheila’s life and You know all the hearts involved. Minister to her heart first of all….give her peace and assurance that You are working in her life. Your grace for this time, we ask…and that You will work thru Sheila to bring peace in these relationships.

Pour down Your love and mercy to all involved and heal, Lord…heal these wounds. Convict those that are in need and bring them to a new understanding of Your love that forgives and loves, unconditionally.

I praise You for this site…for all who come here to perhaps, read, pray, comment and minister. Bless all of these ladies and may Your healing power continue in their lives as we take our burdens and lay them at Your feet. In Jesus Name….believing.

  • DonnaL says:

    Sheila,
Praying that God will pour out His mercy, grace, forgiveness and love so that these relationsips will be restored. Father, I pray that Sheila will know what it means to “put on the full armor of God”, with the belt of truth buckled around her waist, with the breatplate of righteouness in place, with her feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace” Ephesian 6:13-15. Bless you dear sister….Donna

  • Sheila says:

I’m rather new to this site, but today I am overwhelmed by the prayer and compassion pouring out! I’ve been so encouraged and uplifted watching God’s handiwork.

It’s so much easier for me to pray for others than to ask prayer for myself…but right now I feel compelled to ask for prayer that God will heal a few relationships in my life that have been under a great deal of warfare…may His mercy and grace, forgiveness and love overflow and trust be restored. Thank you!!!

  • Patti says:

  • Margaret says:

There has been a lot of prayer lifted up for everyone! That is wonderful. Isn’t God good. Thank the Lord for healing whether emotionally spiritually or physically. When God heals he gives us a merry heart! He brings laughter!
Speaking of dentists Judy, my husband and Pedro were rough housing Saturday and Pedro knocked my husbands tooth out!
I just thought I would lighten us up a bit!

  • Judy D says:

Linda, I’m heading out to my dental appointment. (teeth cleaning)
Guess that will give me plenty of time to sit and lift you up to the Lord! :-) Oh, isn’t it wonderful how God can use us—even in a dental chair. You have to smile at that! Love you my special friend! Take care of yourself.

Fran, you are the encourager! You bless me so with your writings. How is your ministry going?

  • Margaret says:

Hi Linda: I am sorry you are having so much pain! Pain does a number on you doesn’t it? It is hard to keep your focus on Jesus doesn’t it?
It meant a lot last week when you called me asking how I was doing after the anniversary of my mom It spoke volumes to me.
Fear not I am with you Be not dismayed for I am thy God. I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea , I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteous. Is.41:10

I had pain this morning but I laid down and slept and I feel so much better! God is good and He is in control not some of the time but all the time!

  • Patti says:

Judy, thank you for your prayers for me. My hand was injured this past weekend. After x-rays, have learned that there is a lot of destruction and damage……..that means more surgery and probably having to give up my job. Inflammatory arthritis is destroying both hands.

Tomorrow also, my husband and I will be visiting my Dad and his wife. I have been praying the Lord would ordain a time for me to speak with my father….and healing will be released to both of us. I would ask you ladies for prayer in that. Thank you……

  • MJ says:

    Hi,
I wanted to update you all, as I am so overwhelmed and grateful to God for this miracle. I made a post above about our baby, a couple of hours before our ultrasound today. My husband and I, along with many others, have been praying for a miracle. Last week, my specialist told me that based on our ultrasound results about 3 weeks ago, the chance of the baby surviving was low due to several issues they found in the brain. Today, the radiologist came in and said he had to make sure the technician was scanning the same person – all issues were gone (and they were significant issues). This is a miracle and we are so grateful to God and for the prayers of His people. I write this to encourage you in your faith and to thank you for praying!

  • Fran D. says:

Believing in Matthew 18:20, Lord… Please continue to be with Maia’s Aunt Carol, Lord…And others here today who are seeking your healing touch…In JESUS’ Name…Amen and AMEN!!!

  • Debra says:

Lord, there are so many requests made here today for prayer. I pray for these wonderful ladies that are hurting emotionally, spiritually and physically. I know you are a God of healing and faithful to hear our prayers. Be with each one of these ladies and let them hear your voice through the Holy Spirit. Guide them in the path to healing for themselves and their families. Be with the unborn child and make it healthy Dear Lord. You say if we ask in faith, you will be faithful to hear and answer our prayers. I ask all these things in the Precious Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

  • Judy D says:

I ask prayer for my mother. My dad just died April 27th at the age of 85. He had been ill for some time and Mom has been his caretaker. They had been married for 61 years. I heard from my sister that Mom is not sleeping. I pray that she may be able to sleep restfully and through the night. I also pray healing for her finances. She no longer will receive Dad’s income. Her income is cut by 60%.

I have been praying for several ladies from this website who deal with chronic pain. I lift them up for healing of their afflictions. Please pray for Linda R (fibromyalgia), Patti (hand pain–I forget the medical term), Toni, Sharon, Hannah(MS), and Margaret (leg pain).

I, too, come along side those who have prayed today and stand firm and lift up each prayer need to our Lord. Father, thank you so much that you are our Lord and Healer.

Please pray for my health needs, also. My lupus in my left fingers have really been acting up and causing great pain. I am also a stroke survivor and have to take medication for side effects from that—seizure medication, anti-depressant medication, and medication to keep my blood thin. I have limited or no short term memory. (It is like existing, but not living.) Plus, I have lupus medication to take. I thank the Lord for the medication I am able to take and praise Him for things I am able to do.
Thank you for your prayers, love, and concern. God Bless you.

  • Patti says:

    Dear Sweet Amber,

I would imagine someone here could better tell you about a relationship with Jesus…but I’m going to share my experience.

I never knew about a “personal” Jesus until I was in college. I grew up in a very formal church and there was no talk about the blood of Jesus and His saving grace.

One day, a friend began to talk to me about God…in her life. I noticed there was something very different and personal. I began to notice others and listen. They had something I needed and wanted. I came from a broken and dysfunctional home, was confused and discouraged. I would hear about how Jesus died on the cross….the ultimate sacrifice for our sins and that we may share in the Glory of Heaven one day.

The fact that you are seeking this …. tells me that the Holy Spirit is wooing you. That is what He does…….you know you have a void that only He can fill. I tried to fill that void with everything possible..alcohol, parties…many things, but always came back more empty than before. Nothing of the world could fill that desperate need.

One night…in the wee hours, I fell on my knees…alone in my apartment. I prayed very simply…and asked Jesus to come into my heart. I was earnest…-I was desperate. I talked to him as I would talk to a friend…and told Him that I wanted what I had seen in others. I confessed my sins and asked Him to come into my life and save me right then. He did…because His Word promises us that. His purpose is to seek and save that which is lost…and I was lost.

Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.” (John 14:6)

Good works cannot save us….we can do nothing to earn or merit salvation.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) It is just that….a gift..,,

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23)

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

I hope this helps you dear Amber. I and I know others will be praying for you….that you will sense His calling you to salvation…to that very personal walk with Him. He is Your Abba Father…..personal, real and living. Seek Him. You will find Him lovingly waiting…go to a quiet place…..and talk to Him. Tell Him everything…your desire, confusion…..He is right there with you. Talk to Jesus….confess any and all sin in your life and ask Him to come to you….to live in you….and He will.

  • Debbie says:

Lord, I ask that you touch Amber and help her to feel Your love for her so that she feels Your power and a connection with You. I too knew of the verses and believed but at one time didn’t fully understand a ‘relationship’ with God. I am still learning, but came to a point where I was hurt so badly I could only surrender totally to God and ask Him to take the pain (my husband left me after 9 yrs. stating he no longer loved me like a wife and I had no idea there was even a problem- I didn’t even know which side of my car to put gas in and we were in church!)-at least I had a job and friends to pray for me, and turned to God and kept doing this. I learned going to church was also to praise and thank God, not just what I was suppose to do to learn, and that by doing this and studying God’s word I became closer to Him. By reading the daily devotion and saying prayers, having a prayer journal, remembering to pray for others first then myself, noting verses to remember-keeping some posted in my home and at work to read daily, listening to CDs or tapes when driving, or J103–all these things helped me develop a ‘relationship’ with God, feel closer, and learn, and the more I submitted to this and worked to do this, the more blessings I received. I never thought I’d have another person in my life, or trust them, but God sent me my soul mate-I now have a future husband, a best friend, someone to worship God with and have begun to understand what you are asking. Just put your heart out there to Jesus and seek to be closer…James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. You do this by hearing, reading, studying His word and prayers, and doing what Jesus put us here to do-help others and be a witness for Him-I became involved with CMA (Christian Motorcyclists Assoc.) since the guy I’m seeing is a member, and seeing the bike blessings touched me, all these people around someone on a motorcycle, holding hands, praying and asking blessings for each other or anyone asking-awesome! Finding a ministry to work with to do GOd’s work is fulfilling also and made me feel closer. I pray that God fills you today with a closeness and sense of love in your heart and you begin your relationship today! In Jesus’ Name-Amen

  • Amber says:

Please be in prayer for my heart. I was raised in a Christian home but in a very legalistic way and cannot grab the concept of a relationship with God. In my mind I know but my heart has no connection. Please pray that I learn how to experience His love and come into relationship with Him.

  • Sheila says:

As I read through your prayers and concerns, my heart just cries out for many of you. I would love to share the following verses with you, (they’re from the NLT version of the Bible).

…I, the Lord, made you, and I will not forget you. (Isaiah 44:21b)

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with My victorious right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)

…By His wounds you are healed. (1 Peter 2:24)

Father God, thank You that You are our Sovereign Lord; we exalt Your name above all. Thank You for being our Jehovah-Rapha. Father, there are so many needs – physical, emotional, spiritual – sincere pleas for just one touch from the Great Physician. I pray for an outpouring of Your comfort, peace, hope, courage and healing upon them. I pray You will strengthen their faith and help them to stand firm in Your calm. Thank You, Father, for Your blessings upon their lives, that they may trust Your heart even when they can’t see Your hand at work. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.

  • Brenda says:

God our healer. I sure need this today. We’re having a party tomorrow night so that all of our friends and family can meet our daughter’s new husband and their baby. Up to this point, we have experienced so much friction and hurt about our daughter’s relationship with this young man. We are trying to submit to God and let Him change us and heal all the hurts. Only God can do it… and nothing is impossible for Him. Please pray that this party will be the start of something new in our family and that healing will come.

  • Debbie says:

Lord, I praise you first and thank you for the blessings in my life, for the wonderful words in daily devotions, and the beautiful prayers of these ladies above. I ask that your Holy Spirit touch each and every one requesting healing and strength here today and give them comfort that you have given me during the troubles of the past year. I know prayers are answered firsthand and there is great power in prayer so I also pray for these sisters in Christ for each problem and hurt. I ask that You give me strength and take away fatigue to deal with the loss of a friends dad -to be able to comfort with the right words and deeds today and the upcoming issues this weekend. My health issues are not serious ones compared to many but I need help with the ongoing fatigue after being sick and the headaches and know by placing these and all my worries in your hands these prayers will be answered according to Your will. Thank you Lord for my many blessings, in Jesus Name, Amen

  • Patti says:

Oh God…hear our cries as we pour out our needs to You. Minister to the hurting hearts, bodies and relationships here. Touch MJ’s body…and this precious child within and heal all concerning that child. Lord, you know that child…and everything about her….Give MJ hope that only You can give and the peace that only comes from You.

Lord God…we are bringing everything to the Cross and laying these things at Your feet. In Your Powerful Name…believing!

  • Tommie says:

Thank you Jesus for always being true and faithful. You truely are the ONLY one we can fully depend on. I pray that You pour Your Holy Spirit over each of these ladies who have requests. I know we all have more needs than we can type, but thankfully, we have THE BIG GOD! We know you know our words before we speak them. I ask you to heal my son’s heart. Lord, You know Chris just had surgery, and now has “extra” heart beats. I know we don’t understand what that is or how it can affect his body, but You do! Thank You for opening a door for me to be able to speak to Angel at the hospital about You. Please guide her in Your way. I pray for healing for my body, take the yuckies away. I also pray for my marriage. Lord, you know why I hurt. I find true comfort in knowing I can forgive, and move on, only because You forgave me. Thank you. Be with my 3 girls as well, we all need You everyday. I love You. In Jesus name, Amen

  • MJ says:

I am pregnant and the doctors have told us our baby has several issues and may not make it. We are praying for healing and know that nothing is impossible with God!

  • Veda says:

I pray that God will help heal my heart of hurts I suffered from my parents when I was a child. I store those hurts in my heart and then take it out on my husband. I tend to be emotional and controlling, always in a different mood from one day to the next. I’m having such a hard time giving my hurts to God, that I hold on to them, take it out on my husband for no reason and end up damaging my relationship with him. I’m afraid that I will end up getting separated or divorced.

  • jerseygirl says:

I echo Patti’s beautiful prayer for all my fellow sisters in Christ that are in need of prayer today. I life them all up to you Lord that you work in their lives in a mighty way. Amen.

I pray for peace of mind. I find myself anxious in thought about two of my son’s future. Lord, I think you are telling me to just live in the moment and enjoy the boys. However, I can’t help worrying whether they are working towards a career or not. Please help me to rest in you and have faith in both you God and my boys that they will figure it out. I also lift up my extended family as we are grieving over the passing of a wonderful, matriarch Aunt in our family.

  • Loreli says:

  • Patti says:

Dear Jesus, I lift up to Your Throne, the many needs of Your precious daughters.

Lord, touch them each individually, their sick bodies, their bones, their broken hearts, emotions and bring healing to their families.

Oh God, where there is cancer, remove it, where families are struggling, bring peace, where there is discord in marriages, speak to their hearts and give them the love that you designed in marriage.

Lord, where there is arthritis, touch them with Your healing hand…restore what has wasted and strengthen bones and that they would become straight.

We long to see Your miracles, Lord. We know You still today, heal. Show us Lord…..show us your loving mercy and grace as the women reach out to you today.

Restore relationships to You as we seek Your face. Help us to walk in Your ways…guided by Your light upon our path. Give us ears to hear Your voice and eyes to see You, Lord..all around us…In Jesus Name I pray

  • Kris says:

Thanks Hilda. Go to Psalms 91 as well

  • hilda says:

Thanks Gail for an awesome devotion prayer, my prayer is Psalm 20 for you ladies today.

    1 May the LORD answer you when you are in distress;
may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
2 May he send Shawn and Jodye help from the sanctuary
and grant you support from Zion.
3 May he remember all your sacrifices
    and accept your burnt offerings.
4 May he give Shawn and Jodye the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed.
5 May we shout for joy over your victory
and lift up our banners in the name of our God.
May the LORD grant all your requests.
    6 Now this I know:
The LORD gives victory to his anointed.
He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary
with the victorious power of his right hand.
7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
8 They are brought to their knees and fall,
but we rise up and stand firm.
9 LORD, give victory to the king!
    Answer us when we call!

Dear Lord – I ask that you be with each of these ladies and that you will lay your healing hand upon them and heal them both physically and mentally. Give them the strength and guidance that they need to get through each day and just wrap your loving arms around each of them. I am also asking for Prayer for myself. I am a dwarf and as such have a lot of problems with my back. The lumbar section of the spine is full of arthritis and I have pressure on a nerve between L4 and L5, which is causing weakness in my right leg. I am presently wearing a brace on that leg but my doctor has informed me that I will need surgery down the road, probably within the next year or two. Please pray that my back does not get any worse, as I am afraid to have back surgery, as I have seen to many people, like myself, who have ended up paralazed from such surgery. Thank you for praying.

Thank you Father, my healer, as I seen the Oncologist again tomorrow, help me to remember:”I’m not moved by what I see, I’m not moved by what I feel, I’m only moved by what I believe and I’m believing God.” (By Beth Moore)

Praise God that He alone is Jehovah Rapha. I have been calling on the Healer for healing of my body since December. I have been depending on Jehovah Rapha and claiming healing over myself since then. Today I have a praise report because things have returned to normal. But it was only by the goodness of Jehovah Rapha, that I have healing today. This devotional was confirmation for me as I read it only minutes after finding out my results. Bless His Holy and Divinely Righteous Name!!!

I read devotions daily, alwasy a great comfort.I pray that my Saviour will help me become a woman of greater faith,to be able to stand firm on His word, put all my troubles in His hands & leave them there. I have a control problem, therefore will turn things over to God then take them back. I keep God from working in my life & my family’s life. Please pray for me to have a greater committment to my faith.

I need healing. I have been praying for healing for a long time but have continued to get worse. Throughout the last 6 years I have slowly been finding pieces of the puzzle as to why I wasn’t getting better. I think I may have found the last piece but at this point I am so sick I can’t stand it. In addition I struggle with an eating disorder and the weight gain resulting from the health problem along with chronic health issues has put me into a state of depression that I can’t seem to get out of. I don’t which doctor to trust due to the many times I have been mis-diagnosed and I feel a lot of guilt because I am not the wife I would like to be. I feel discouraged and at the end – battle fatigued as my therapist put.

Wonderful Devotional! Shawn I pray that the healing that you desire for your family will come to pass. Be encouraged that we will be remembering you in prayer! God is in the business of changing hearts! and attitudes! I am sure there are others who can minister to you. The only little person I have has four legs and He doesn’t talk back but loves to sing!
We have very damp weather here in Ontario. My legs are rebelling big tme because of the dampness! My prayer request would be that the Lord will help me with starting my business and it that will take off. My prayer request is that I would become a woman of Faith, A woman who is thankful and my thoughts would be on Jesus and not my disability! That I would know I have accomplished tasks for Jesus and he loves me just the way I am!

  • Brenda says:

God in the name of Jesus, Pour out blessings to Shawn and her family. Strengthen them Lord! They need you right now Lord God. Dear Heavenly Father Shawn is reaching out, she doesn’t know what else to do Lord! Help her God, guide her Lord Jesus. Thank you Jesus for placing those encouraging words in the Daily Devotion by Gail Rodgers. Lord, I pray that Shawn will print the prayer on paper, carry the prayer around and read it each time her heart needs encouragement. Thank you Dear Heavenly Father in the sweeet and powerful name of Jesus, we pray! Amen

My husband and I are separated. I have been in a physically and emotionally abusive marriage for 2.5 years. I want my marriage to work…please pray for us. He needs to be healed from his anger. I need to heal from all the hurtful things that have occured. Everyone tells me to divorce him, but that isn’t the Christian thing to do. It is a daily struggle to do what’s right in God’s eyes. Please pray for me so that I may continue this fight and come out victorious. Thank you!

  • I am so thankful that the Lord is our healer. I find this so comforting. I read these devotionals daily but rarely comment because I need to get ready for work. I am asking for prayer today for my family that desperately needs healing. I am a mom of three in a second marriage. I am the birth mother and the kids have a step-dad. There is so much tension between the kids and their step-dad and I am caught in the middle. I have been going through this for several years and am just plain weary and discouraged. Please pray for healing for our family. Thank you so much.
