Zephaniah 3:17
“The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing.”

Father God,
Thank you that You are the One who watches over me and sees every step I take. You walk each of those steps beside me! Thank you that You are the God who speaks to me and who hears me when I call.
Thank you that You listen to my heart and You see into the depth of my soul. Nothing of me is hidden from You. And You still answer even before I call out to You. Even when I am still speaking and wondering how to bring my needs before You, You are already springing into action to meet me at my point of need. You are awesome, Lord, hearing my heart and reaching out to meet me.

You take delight in me! You take great delight in me. Wow! You will never, ever leave me and You actually desire to have fellowship with me. You, the God of Heaven, look for time with me and cherish the moments when I look into Your face. You guide me with Your eye.

You know my name and the name of my street; you know the bed where I lay my head at night. You call me by my name and You call me Your own!

You actually rejoice over me with singing! What a picture, Lord. Me, the one who so often lets You down, You rejoice over me and You quiet me with Your love.

May I bask in that welcome and in that warmth today. May it spur me on to be faithful to You as You are so faithful to me.

The Lord with me, that is Your name. Thank you. The Lord with me today, right this moment and as I walk into this next moment. I praise Your name and pray with confidence in it, amen.

I would just like my first name to show on the posts. I tries to change it, but I guess I didn’t do it right. Hannah

Thank you Gail for the wonderful devotional today. It really gave me something to ponder.
Just to hear of someone loving us the way Jehovah-Shammah, The Lord With Us does makes my heart juump with Joy. To know that He is always with us even when we are disappointing Him made me do some thinking. Someties I open my mouth when it should be closed. At that time I should be talking to Him instead of choosing to say what I did. It is usually when I am in extreme pain, but I should be praying and asking Him for help instead of complaning and making my husband feel sad for me. I have actually heard him go into the bathroom and cry and I knew he was praying. Now that brings me back to reality also.
Thank you Great God for your unconditional love and mercy for us even we might not be acting Christ Like. Please thunp my mind and give me a reminder when I act like that next time. I love you Abba Father. and Blessings on all on this blog. all of your posts were so good and gave me some things to think over. Mary Ann, thank you for the songs. Loreli, Praise God for another lost soul being saved . I know you were thanking Him after that phone call. and Patti, that prayer was so uplifting. Thank you for that. Blessings and love for all, Hannah

He’s always there when my hope is gone, he’s always there when my hope is gone. He lifts me up when I am in prayer. He’s never gone when I’m alone he’s always there. He’s up inthe mountains, he’s down in the sea, He fill the heavens and he lives in me, he lifts me up when I am in prayer he’s never gone when i am alone he’s always there.
As i read through what everyone else wrote this song came to mind.
This is the chorus of another hymn we sang when I was growing up.
No never alone, No never alone, He’s promised never to leave me, Never to leave me alone.

Praise the Lord. I am glad for when people reach out to me but when they don’t I know I can go to my heavenly Father.
He is always there to reach out when I need comfort. He always has the right answer for us and he also knows what is best for us.

  • MaryAnn says:

God is so good. I have a song that I listened to the other day and cried so hard. it hit home with me.The words spock volumes.
” I WILL NEVER LET GO OF YOUR LOVE,YOUR MIGHTY LOVE’
I WILL NEVER FORGET ALL THE PRAISE YOU ARE WORTHY OF
YOU NEVER FAILED ME AND YOU NEVER WALKED AWAY.
I WILL NEVER LET GO OF YOUR LOVE”
God never lets us go or leaves us, I wish I could say the same.

Father God , thank you so much that you are with us always. No matter where we go or what we do you are there.Help us to stay focused on you, to run to you because you are the best freind that we could ever have.thank you Lord.

Thank you, Loreli, for sharing God’s goodness—-about your phone call last night. It is an encouragement to us who are still praying for salvation of family and friends.

  • Loreli says:

Hi everyone, Today is a blessed day. Last night a little girl called met that I used to council. She was a teenager and had already made up her mind God was not real, she didn’t want to have anything to do with Jesus stuff she said. I prayed for her a lot while working with her and the months have passes and I am no longer her counselor. To my surprise she called last night at 11:00, woke me up and said her name and asked if I wanted to hear something great, she said I just got saved and I wanted to call you. I am overjoyed that although our prayers are not always answered at that moment, God never forgets, he hears our hearts cry, he heard hers. God is so good I just had to brag on his goodness. The devotional today was wonderful thanks Gail.

Once more a very thought provoking devotional.

Isaiah 49:16 See I have engraved you in the palm of my hands. Isaiah 49:16

Deuteronomy 1:30 The Lord your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes.

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. Isaiah 43:2

What love messages these verses are along with the devotional.

Praise the Lord! ladies what a great and awesome God we
serve. What a loving, compassionate, and gracious Father
he is to us his children. I am so comforted in the knowing
that my Father is always with me. When I awake in the middle
of the night kind of disoriented, tthe house quiet, everybody is asleep, it makes me feel so safe and secure
knowing my Father is there, he’s near. When I need somebody
to talk to and the few I do talk to like my husband may not
be available, I can always turn to the Lord and talk to him.
To be honest even when I have those available to talk to I
choose to talk to him. I like how I don’t have to try and
explain myself or try to get a person to understand what I
mean not what they think I meant. God knows me so intimate
and completely that he knows exactly whats in my heart. Their are times when I come to him and say Lord you knows,
because you know all things, no need for any explanations.
thank you ladies and especially you Gail for the inspiring
and uplifting words that has been spoken in today’s de-
votional. Thank for giving us such a vivid picture of how
much our heavenly father loves us and desires to be with us.
I thought about this we are all unique and different, with
different kinds of personalities, our Father know each one
and desires to spent time with each one of us. Personally,
I am somewhat a quiet person, don’t talk sometime at all,
for no reason, like to sometime be by myself to meditate.
My Father knows this about me and he still desires to be
with me, sometime he will talk and sometime he will listen,
for he knows when to do which one. The bible said we can
say to the righteous, “it is well”, we say to Romel it is
well, we decree that it is well in Jesus name,we will hear
from Romel soon. Ladies may the face of God shine upon you
and bring peace in every situation. Have a rejoicing day in
    the Lord sisters.

  • Judy D says:

Thank you, Gail, for another wonderful and loving devotional. Such love I take on faith. It is not the love the world knows or should I say demonstrates. Thank you, Lord, for your great love for me. I pray Your love will shine through and I may serve you and love others through the grace of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Thank you Lord for you unending, total love for me. What a picture of a very loving parent, God. Thanks Gail for such a wonderful verse and loving image of our Father today.

Welcome March S and thank Patti for your wonderful prayer today.

I have also been thinking of Romel. I miss her responses.

  • patti says:

Oh my….I must say, as I read this, tears filled my eyes. To think someone cares..loves me that much. To know that He will never leave me…..To realize He knows everything in my heart….ever thought, every longing, every painful thing, every joy and that He knows me in such a personal way. He even knows and orchestrates every beat of my heart.

This overwhelms me with emotion….It is so hard to imagine Him singing over us…….celebrating us. What a love!

Gail, your words brought this intimately into reality to me. As I read…I felt His love…His arms around me….It seems it is almost too much.

    Dear Jesus,

As I bow before You today….I feel so humbled. Your love, is pouring down on me as I write. How thankful I am….I have no words to describe this moment. I worship You…….You are my Savior, my dearest Friend..One who will never leave me and loves me as I am. I thank You and praise You this day and forever. Amen

  • March S. says:

Amen! I need you Lord to be with me… I thank God for his faithfulness and endless love even things are not clear to me at this moment.
