muriel, thank you for the devotional. i found out soon enough that the best time for me to study scripture was in absolute peace and quiet. those times were hard pressed with a husband and two teenage adults. but where there was His will, there was a way. what i do is I get up before the early birds(it's sooo serene, peaceful and rewarding). and in the evenings, right before bed is the other time where my husband respects my 'time' with Him. or I take full advantage when it's only myself at home. no distractions whatsoever. perhaps the humming of the fridge or a clock ticking on the wall. it truly is a little piece of heaven here on earth. my husband respects this time and almost on cue he will see the Bible in my hands and knows it's not our time, it's ''OUR'' time and either picks up a book himself(unfortunately not the Bible(yet)) or goes out in the backyard to do yard work or goes out.
Biblical meditation is bringing me closer to the Lord. even from a year ago now, i look at things differently. everything I see, feel, hear, touch, I know God is the sculptor. my foundation was a mess, crumbling, dilapitated. my foundation is unshakeable today. but not to say that the trials and struggles do not come, they do. I seek Him in prayer and I am learning to listen. i don't always hear Him but as I said I am learning.
as in Psalms 104:34 reads, ''May my meditation be pleasing to him, as I rejoice in the Lord''.

I love to meditate when I can and just be with the Lord, Not constant talking or gabbing, but just being still before the lord. It is very hard to stay that focuses without my mind wandering.

When and where can I meditate on the Lord? That is the beauty of His plan. We can be any place at any time to meditate on God's precepts, His majesty and creations. I know I fall so short of taking in all that he has done. I need to heed Ps. 46:10 Be still and know that I am God. Thank you for the devotions that I probably need reminding of daily.

Greetings Muriel,
Today is Friday and I'm surprised there are no comments yet. This subject deals w/something we very busy western people do too little of. Perhaps it has come too close to home for many of us; if so God has used you to deliver a timely message. Or perhaps everyone is just too busy right now to respond?
I pray that all the gals who read the devotionals on a daily basis will find these truths going straight to core of their spiritual beings; that it is a 'reminder' to them as it was to me to stop and inhale the wonders of God. Amen and thank you again
