joyce, thank you for the devotional. i am sure there are many who can relate to such a situation. in the end though, the only answer is to leave all your worries to God. for myself, I give my worries to Jesus by praying and asking for strength. the guidance i know i will hear through His Word.
a perfect example was sunday. i knew i had the whole day for myself. not a soul home. the plan was to spend the entire day in scripture, journalling, coming to this site(of course), prayer(with total quiet), read inspirations. that was the plan.. just before the hubby left for the day we discovered that our entire basement floor was flooded. must have happened overnight. recent rain melted 3 feet or so of snow and ergo the indoor swimming pool. in 16 years, we have never had a problem such as this in our home. so one would think that my day was now totally spent cleaning up, loosing control of any reason, right? wrong. my husband continued on with his planned day out of the country and I, well, i spent the day as planned and such a rewarding day it was. the peace and serenity, the communication, the one on one was absolutely rewarding. the basement? the water eventually dried up without me lifting a finger. so i handle trials with knowing that the Lord is always right with me.
