]]> By: kanj http://powertochange.com/blogposts/2009/01/23/new-life-in-christ/comment-page-1/#comment-39733 kanj Tue, 27 Jan 2009 20:01:24 +0000 http://thelife.com/?p=12073#comment-39733 Dr. Larson, thank you for the devotional. very comforting and inspirational indeed. i sometimes feel that i'm too anxious in wanting maturity in my spiritual growth. it seems more and more in each day's study and meditation that i'm reading the word 'wait'. i can't get enough it seems. the air that i breath keeps me needing more of Him. am I experiencing the power and the joy of the Holy Spirit in my life? yes, even with all the sadness that surrounds siblings which indirectly affect me. i see so many trials happening and yet i am still standing on solid foundation. i could not have done any of the things i have done to help where i could had Jesus not been there every step of the way. i found this poem that expresses my gratitude: Breath on me, Breath of God, Fill me with life anew. That I may love what Thou dost love, And do what Thou wouldst do. (by Hatch). '''All that I am and have I owe to Jesus.'''(these are not my words but they do convey where and what my life is today). i'm not worried, I do not worry. I can be 'concerned' . as scripture says, let Jesus worry for you. i'v experienced dire situations, hard circumstances and the heaviness that worry puts on the shoulders, they aren't there because I know I can't do it alone. God asks me to trust and obey Him with each day that comes and passes. I can't learn the lessons of trials He sets otherwise. strength lies in the Lord, not me. It has just renewed the Joy of The Lord within me. Had a shacky start this morning yet am deciding to sing a new song again. Been making progress in my walk with Christ Jesus and know that the things that are comming at me from all directions these pass few days are from the enemy trying to pull me down.
