helen, thank you for this devotional. God has given me His grace once more. each day I wake is another day to celebrate His love. I serve Him each day in being the best that I can be. I read this in study this morning. it said, ”When praying, it’s better to have a heart without words than words without heart (see Romans 8). i’v been distant lately in prayer and I believe this came to my heart for a reason.

i too quit my job to stay home and babysit my grandson along the way i was blessed to be able to take care of my father when he could not take care of himself,my husband became disabled and i was home to help him,he is doing much better now, i also was blesseed with two of the most wonderful sisters who i started to watch when the oldest was three months old today they are 12 and 10 and still come over once a week to have dinner with us and visit they call us grandma and grand pa, they are like our veryown. i was also able to help an older lady next door who we came to look at as a second mom. my oldest grand son is now 16 and i am still watching grandchildren i have four more. i do beleive God but me here to take care of these people and i sure do know money isn’t eveything sorry if this is so long just wanted to share

Being a very busy graduate student, this devotional really spoke to my heart. I needed it to help reinforce the fact that God put me here for a reason and even though things get difficult in my life he has great plans for me. It’s hard to stay spiritually focused sometimes, especially with the many different obligation this world asks of us. But knowing that I have a purpose for Him throughout all the busy work helps a lot. Thank you so much for this devotional and God Bless.

I sure needed this devotional. I have committed my self to praying for 30 people’s prayer request a week along with my own personal prayers and also reaching out to the elderly where I live. I try to make time each day to read the devotionals. But if I don’t pick up the Bible and read each day. I feel like I am doing wrong to God. This devotional makes me see that in living God’s Words and doing it with all your heart then it is just as could as reading the Bible. I need daily verses from the Bible and I do get that. But often I can’t seem to read the Bible for a long period of time. I use to when I was a Sunday School teacher and in Bible classes. This devotional helps to secure the importants to serve others is to serve God.

I quit my job 3 years ago to help my daughter and her young husband by watching their son. Daycare was extremely expense but I charged them a tiny fee just to teach them responsibility and to cover extra activities I did with my grandson. Now I watch him and his little sister. Sometimes I wonder if I should have quit my job, which I miss, but I believe this is what God wanted me to do, to help teach these little ones about being children of God. My grandson sees me working on prayer shawls etc and asks about what I am doing. He told me “You are a great grandma for doing that for people. Will you make me one if I get sick?” Got to love the children! Praise God for my ability to be home with them.
