I KNOW that I should run to HIM first; but so often my humanity and flesh are the first response to troubles. And yet, HE calls me to remember all of His promises and all the answered prayers and times HE's met us in our times of need.......and yes there are faithful sisters and brothers who hold us up before HIS Throne of Grace when we are tired and feeling overwhelmed. Tonight I lift you up, as I was lifted up a short time ago. Praising God for this word today and reminder to 'focus our eyes upon HIM, the Author and Finisher of our faith.' We lost our best friend, not a human, but a little kitty who loved us as only God can--without reservation. Bathed in tears and prayer, Rog and I took Ms. Blu, our beloved friend for 16 years to be put down. She was diagnosed with kidney failure last week, and we worked with the vet to save her, but that didn't fit God's plan. Today we said goodbye. So very difficult, but so grateful to experience the peace and comfort of the Holy Spirit, and friends like Lydia. I was very calm and matter of fact for the first 3 months, trusting in the Lord, but all of a sudden things seem to be spinning out of control and it is so comforting to me to know others are standing in the gap for me at this time.
