Marilyn, thank you for the devotional.
God’s look would be one of warmth with a slight upward smile, not the whole smile, just a slight upward one. His words to me? ”Welcome Home child, your room awaits in My Mansion. I would say, ”Thank You Father for You never abandoned me”.
Loreli, my prayers are with you. “Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the Lord” as it says in Psalm 31:24

you are in my prayers i have lost a husband too and know the pain but it will get easyer as each day goes by just trust in Him and He will see you through. you never forget but it does get easer

I have struggled iwth the busyness of life off and on for a while. I have come to understand that the enemy attacks in this way. I get so busy that I don’t see the blessings in all things for this is always a list of things that I need to do or feel that I should be doing. I pray for peace of mind and continue to discipoline myself daily with quiet time even if it looks like the one described in the devotional. I recite scriptures and remind myself that God is in control, he is with me, for me and in me. That is what keeps me going.

Loreli God is with you, for you and in you. Be of good courage, he has overcome the world. I am praying for you and believing great things for you and your future with Christ. Be blessed and know that others are praying for you.

Dear Loreli, I am so very sorry to hear about your husband’s passing — Linda R shared this sad news with me this afternoon, and my heart aches for you, dear sister! I haven’t visited the blog as much lately — busy life — and, miss all my dear sisters-in-Christ that meet here for sweet fellowship and encouragment! Please know that you will be in my prayers, trusting God for His loving Presence to bring comfort and peace to your spirit!

Loving and gracious Father, we thank You for the precious years that You did give to Loreli and her husband, and for the sweet memories that You will preserve of his love for her! You know, merciful Father, just how deeply she misses him, how her heart is so shattered from this great loss! Be the Comforter to her broken spirit, Lord, and anoint her with peace. May the love of family and friends be used by You to minister to her in these difficult days, and may Your Holy Spirit ease her heartache with the reassurance of a blessed reunion with him in eternity one day! In Jesus’ strong name we pray, Amen!

It is very comforting to me to be like Mary once in awhile and just sit and Jesus’s feet. Just being close and spending time together. It is so beautiful, until my mind drifts off and moves onto continual thinking about other things. I pray that God gives me the strength to stay focused on those beautful moments, no matter how brief and also to thank him for the peace and calm I always feel afterwards.

Wow. This morning I sat outside, watching sparrows and happened to be reading the verse about sparrows, and it didn’t hit me that He was saying “Hear Me” until this email devotional happened to fall in my lap – about the sparrows, and about rest in Him. “Ok, Lord, I got it!”

Oh Loreli I am so very sorry about the loss of your husband, my heart just aches for you as I have been in your shoes. Oh dear sister I will be praying for you.
Dear Heavenly Father Oh how I pray that You would so lovingly minister to Loreli. Jesus she needs Your Arms of Love so very tightly wrapped around her, hold her close, please, please help her to feel Your Love & Presence Minute by Minute. Some how encourage her, send christian friends and family to be with her and support her and don’t let them EVER forget her. Not in 6 months, a year, 5 years Lord help them to Continually be there for her and help me to Continually remember to keep upholding her in pray. Please Bless her now I pray In Your Name Lord Jesus, Amen & Amen! Hugs Linda!!!
Also Thank you for the wonderful devotional it just reminded me how much I need to sit in His presence too and how easily we let other things get in the way and I just pray that I too will be able to just sit and listen and be with Jesus. God Bless Linda!

The time we spend with God during our day is so precious. Even in the car or waiting on picking my girls up at school or in a Dr. office or grocery store while I am shopping alone. My mind can be on the Lord and He desires that as well as alone time in study and quietness. He wants to be a part of all of our day. Prayer without ceasing to me, is to include God in all parts of my day and ask His will.

Loreli, God is by your side during your loss and has His arms around you. During my divorce it was all I could do to wimper to Him and He is right there. God wants us in all our good and bad times to be with Him in Spirit and lean on Him.

I pray this time is surrounded by His Presence and others who can help you through the hurt.
