I hear alot of women who have the same issues of finding a true, safe friend (s) to connect with. In our society it is hard but keep looking for that kindred spirit and ask God to send one your way. You may wish to try the chat line here as well. God bless you all. Friends are treaures.

I am a single 27 year old newly transplanted to Boston. I have moved around since I was 18 due to serving 8 years in the military. I have a few women in my life who have stuck close but presently we have grown apart due to changes in life and distance. I have become so hungry for what all of you have described. I just have a hard time finding true genuine women who really do care. I feel the world (even Christians) have become to where they are not what you all describe. I guess I have lost a lot of faith in good women (people) who are there for you no matter what. Reading your article and the comments that followed I hope it instills in me a new light of hope. Because I need hope.

I live in a high-rise senior apartment complex. The ages are from 62 to ?. Unless you take time to interact with your neighbors you just can't know just how fragile and precious life is. It's quite an eye-opener to get to really know a women, that you might say hi, as you pass her by in the hallway. You actually have a fresh and healthy new-insight about her life. A relationship that will grow deeper in meaning and a spiritual attacment for each other. I find it awsome to learn where they grew-up, where they worked, about their family and to know that we share the same Love for God. To know that their heartfelt prayers for you are returned back to them as we pray for each other. What a blessed opportunity to live here in this little villiage we have with about 200 plus neighbors. It is challenge but one that God gives us, that's a good thing. "Life lived is meant to be shared."
