Are you facing a troubling situation and can’t seem to find your way through it? Talk to a mentor.
“And Moses said to the people, ‘Do not be afraid. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today… The Lord will fight for you and you shall hold your peace. And the Lord said to Moses, ‘Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward’” (Exodus 14:13-15 NJKV).
Some days it feels like there is no way out! Israel had a mountain on each side, the Red Sea in front, and an army coming up behind. When attacks and blocks are coming at us from every direction we can get overwhelmed, desperate, and even panicky, but Moses’ word to them was “Stand still.” I believe his point was “Focus! Get your eyes off the circumstances and get them fixed back on God, what He has promised to you and called you to do, and then ‘go forward!’”
It can be like walking a tight wire, don’t look down, don’t look to the distractions on the right or the left, just concentrate and keep your eyes fixed on what you have been given to do. God will shine His lamp on your path to lead you one step at a time, and one day at a time. Stay the course, the Lord will fight for you, subdue your enemies, and open up the way of escape.
“I lift up my eyes to the hills, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let my foot slip, He who watches over me will not slumber. The Lord watches over me. The Lord is my shade at my right hand; The Lord will keep me from all harm, he will watch over my life; The Lord will watch over my coming and going both now and forevermore” (Psalm 121:1-3,5,7,8 NKJV).

Great Devotional and Kaddee thanks for giving us all those scriptures to remember in times of anxiety or worry. Hugs Linda
God is the only one who can help us in those times
I needed this! I ended my relationship with my boyfriend today because i finally figured out he could not lead me in my faith. I was getting distracted all day from god, this got me back to the course! Thank you!
I really needed to read “Stay the Course” today.Thank you! The reminder to “FOCUS” and concentrate on my Lord when I’m afraid. I have a tendency to panic and then experience anxiety that can last long after the incident has passed. If I am “holding fast and keeping my eyes on Him” I can have peace in my heart. Thank You!
In times of distress, it’s easy to be emotional, and worried because that is the common thing to do. the uncommon thing to do is put it in the hand of the and leaving the battle for him to fight, getting into the word of God and reading scriptures like; Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Ps 46:10, No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. Is 54:17, Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Phil 4:4, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11 I can go on and on. When you put your thoughts toward God’s word and rely on His will to be done, what is the point in worrying or allowing our emotions to guide us, it is a total waste of energy. I am discovering that with age you need as much energy and you can get and wasting it is not a wise idea.
