“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20, NKJV).
In choosing to follow Jesus, we have two important decisions to make. The first one is, when we come to the understanding that Jesus died on the cross for us, and that when we receive His sacrifice on our behalf, we receive forgiveness and the promise of eternal life. Wonderful!

The second decision is when we come to see that we have been bought with a price, purchased by His blood. We are not our own, it is Christ who is to live in and through us. We must come to the point of knowing that we need to surrender our lives to Him, and allow Him to be Lord over all the details. When we are willing to make this second decision, He fills us with the power of His Holy Spirit, and we truly do become His hands and His feet to the world around us.
As those filled with the Spirit we begin to know a deep and abiding joy in spending time with Jesus through our prayer and Bible reading. We sense His presence and begin to know and experience His voice in the various ways that He speaks to us and leads us.
The fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control begin to be evident to us and others. Our prayers go from “Lord, this is what I am going to do for you, please bless it” to “Lord, just tell me what you want me to do and I will do it!”
Those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. (Galatians 5:24 & Romans 8:6, NKJV).
Questions: How are some ways that God speaks to you and leads you? How can the fruit of the Spirit become evident in one’s life?

thank you for a wonderful devotional
When i was completely self destructive. off track and out of God’s plan for my life, i turned on the television at a time of day i never put it on and left it on a Christian channel i never watch. While i was in the kitchen, i suddenly started hearing what the two people were talking about and it led me to go back into the living room. i sat down and was totally drawn into thier conversation about addictions and how to get help. i found myself rushing to get a pen to write down the information. i then went to my telephone, called the place and the next thing i knew, i had an appointment. This was 2 years ago. The LORD through that tv show, led me to a pastor/behavioral health therapist who was starting a church at that time. He invited me to attend and i’ve been faithful to be there ever since. God’s wings were over shadowing me the whole time. HE loves us so much and when we cry out to HIM HE promises to hear the cries of the helpless. Praise and Glory to Jesus Christ our King!
Good Morning
We are representatives of Christ so it’s no longer we but Christ living in us.We must show love, encourage people and uplift their spirits by always being joyfull and changing the atmosphere where we are. I pray daily for the fruits of spirits to shine thru me. I know it’s not always easy especially when you around negative people, but that is the time you must bring change.
God speak thru unbelievers aswell as believers. He is speaking to us daily thru messages, emails and just overhearing people’s conversation you can learn something new daily. You must just have a receptive heart and ask God to unveil your eyes and enlighten your understanding.
The fruits of spirit must be chained around our neck and it must follow you wherever you go.Whether at home, workplace or in church. God is same today, tomorrow and forever so we must try and die to our flesh daily and let our light outshine the darkness. Out of the belly shall flow rivers of living waters so whoever thirsty shall come to you and you will present them with the word of God, which can change their circumstances. Like the women at the well when God told her she will thirst no more if she just drink from His living water.Like when he told Peter to walk on the water, but the moment Peter’s eyes was off Jesus he lost his focus the same for us. We are more worried on how to solve the probleme instead of giving it unto God,because he is in control.
The Holy Spirit is all around us and we are just to occupied in our own world to realize there is someone willing to speak to you and willing to give you the best councelling you could ever ask for.
God is all around us and He is waiting on us to ask and He will give. We don’t know because we don’t ask.We must built a relationship with the Holy Spirit and he will guide us thru our daily lives. The Holy spirit speak daily to me in dreams giving me scriptures and in my prayer time. So the more time I spend in His presence the more wisdom I receive.Amen
I hear God’s voice when things are silent, or when I’m reading, or when I’m in church hearing the sermon. If I’m taking a walk, or talking to a friend, or reading my Bible; it’s subtle sometimes, but I feel peace in my heart when it’s coming from God. It’s a lot of times something I haven’t even thought about, but will be overjoyed to move forward with, or overjoyed to say. It might be witnessing words that just flow and make sense somehow. I love it when the Living Water flows out of me onto others. No feeling like it and I am sure it’s God.
I have the fruits of the spirit writen in my daily planner. I try each day to practice one of them. It seems like I never get enough time alone with God. I always feel like I have short changed him in some way. With all the blessings he hands out,I really want to be more commited and stead-fast in the Word.
The question asked, “How are some ways that God speaks to you and leads you?”
My thoughts on this is that whenever a sudden answser seems to just ‘pop’ into my head without an obvious train of thought to put it there, I figure it is the Holy Spirit putting it there and that I should act on it.
To me, that is how the Lord speaks to me.
