“And when I passed by you and saw you struggling in your own blood, I said to you in your blood, ‘Live!’ Then I washed you in water; yes, I thoroughly washed off your blood, and I anointed you with oil. I clothed you in embroidered cloth and gave you sandals of badger skin; I clothed you with fine linen and covered you with silk… You were exceedingly beautiful and succeeded to royalty” (Ezekiel 16:6, 9, 10, 13, NKJV).
Do you remember it? Do you remember the day that your heavenly Father passed by your way, saw you in your blood, took you in, washed you off, and clothed you in beautiful royal clothing? Did you even realize the awesome thing that was happening to you? Do you understand that you went from being yesterday’s abandoned child, to today’s royal prince or princess, child of the King of Kings, and destined to rule the world?
Has life changed for you since that day? Have you embraced and walked in your new identity? Do you count yourself to be worthy because of what Christ did for you, and rise to the occasion to fulfill your destiny?
We are not orphans living in a King’s house. We are His adopted children with full status as royal heirs. It is upon us to fully embrace all that we can and are meant to be. In that, we glorify God, bring honor and meaning to Christ’s sacrifice, and bring great joy to our Father in heaven.
“For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father.’ The Spirit Himself bears wittiness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then Heirs- heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ” (Romans 8:15-17, NKJV).
Father, Help me to show mercy to others as You have shown great mercy to me. Amen.

i remember very well the day God picked me up and washed away my blood. and He has been with me always in good and bad times
Yes, God, our Abba Father, has graciously given us Christ Jesus, our Lord and Saviour. After accepting Christ, He gave us the Holy Spirit. Through the Gift of the Holy Spirit I daily try to “let go” of my old self and let the gifts of the Holy Spirit shine through . . . love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (galations 5:22 & 23). James 1:5 Says if any lack wisdom, let God who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. I pray for wisdom daily. For protection, we are given the full armor of God (ephesions 6:13-18) He has given so much. Then there are His touch and healings, His encouragment, His love. . . I was paralyzed and could not talk caused by a stroke. I now talk and work out. . . yes lift weights with BOTH arms and do planks. I give Him the glory and thank Him Thank you Faher, for your great love and Your Son, Christ Jesus my Lord and Saviour. I praise you and give you the glory. Holy holy is the Lord God Almighty. In Christ I pray. Amen.
Great reminder, Emmie, of our relationship to the King, and what we have ‘inherited’ as heirs! One of our inheritances is the ability to live holy lives, through the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit. This is how others can see us as ‘set apart,’ different than the world, which is powerless against the temptation of sin. Living defeated Christian lives is not only unnecessary, but contrary to the truth of Scripture. If the Holy Spirit can raise Jesus from the dead, part the Red Sea, and turn water into wine, then He can change “even the vilest offenders” into Bible-believing, Christ-honoring adoptees! Not perfect by any measure, but justified by faith, and being transformed into the likeness of Christ. If our lives are not changing, though we have professed faith in Christ, then we may not be allowing the Holy Spirit to perform His sanctifying work in us. While God may not change circumstances, He always changes lives! It has been said, “Though He may not change anything, He changes EVERYTHING!” Praise God for His precious gift of the Holy Spirit to us, that we might live lives pleasing to Him, glorifying our Savior!
Thank You, Father, for Your immeasurable love that was demonstrated at the cross, and continues today through the work of Your Holy Spirit in our lives! We praise You that we can choose Christ, by the power of Your Spirit in us, and live victoriously by faith! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
