Are you struggling with anxiety? Do you experience panic attacks and afraid to face the day? We can pray.
“For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. And if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know” (Galatians 6:3, NKJV).yg
“…And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it (1 Corinthians 4:7, NKJV)?
So, to sum up, we are nothing, we know nothing, we have nothing, and we can do nothing! Ouch! Even Jesus said that He “could do nothing of Himself”.(John 5:19)
The good news is that when we came into Christ we were clothed in His righteousness. His ability became our ability, His strength became our strength, His wisdom became our wisdom. True humility is to recognize that it is only in and through Christ that we can do anything worthwhile.
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (2 Corinthians 9:8 & Philippians 4:10, NKJV)
That is an amazing shift, from nothing to “all things.” “In Christ” is the key!
Father, I know that without You I am nothing. Remind me to put all my trust in You. You will not disappoint me. In You I have everything I need. Amen.

Thank you Linda for your concern and compassion. i am so sorry to hear of your child’s death. As a matter of fact i have that very scripture taped on my computer! It’s the weirdest thing…when i start feeling that anxiety coming over me, not even the scripture helps and i HATE to admit this. i won’t take medication so i guess i will have to live with it and hope the LORD helps me to deal with it. It has to be some kind of test for me to be able to experience the anxiety, hold tightly to the hand of the Holy Spirit and surrender to His peace. Blessings to you ~trisha
Hi Trisha I am so sorry you struggle with anxiety but to be honest with you I do too at times. I have a Bible verse that my 15 1/2yr old daughter wrote on a letter to my mom which my mom gave to me the very day that Lee-Anna was killed instantly in a car accident and I have always felt that verse was meant for me and me to share with others. It is Psalm 94:19 “Lord, when doubts fill my mind, when my heart is in turmoil, quiet me and give me renewed hope and cheer.” Trisha when I begin to feel anxious I try to remember to quote that verse. Also Jesus said I am always with you I will Never leave you or forsake you so I Totally believe it is possible for you to be anxiety free on this earth, I don’t think you have to wait till you get to heaven. Also I think sometimes people might need to take some kind of medication to help with their anxiety, I don’t think that it is wrong in any way for a Christian to do that as I totally believe God has given us doctors to help with our problems too. I hope this helps you in some small way and I will be praying for you. Hugs, Linda!!!
i struggle with anxiety sometimes more than others. i know it’s a peeling away as God teaches me to totally trust in Him. When i find myself thinking and having numerous conversations playing in my mind, i have to stop and continuously turn in back to Him. i know He doesn’t owe me any explanations and won’t compete with my brain over my heart. i am already a nervous energy type person so these lessons can be quite difficult for me to put into practice. i pray for the day His Light consumes all my doubts and fears. Is this even possible except in death?
