Last year we interviewed people to ask them what they have done to help the environment. Here’s what they said:
Earth Day is April 22. Have you taken any steps recently to be more environmentally friendly? Please share them with us!

Can you be an atheist and an environmentalist?

Please spend a little time looking into “Climategate” and you will understand that global warming is a lie being promoted to reduce your freedoms and liberties. The greatest greenhouse gas is water vapor and I have not heard one word from “environmentalists” about reducing that. Why? because it’s absurd to even think so. I agree with Sarah Graham, God is in control of the environment and we simply have a responsibility to be good stewards. We will not and can not change the environment. Our impact is far too small compared to the Sun and Seasons which I thank God He controls rather than us. By the way, we do not breath in as much carbon dioxide as we exhale. We breathe in Oxygen and several other gasses found in our “air.” We would die if we breathed in as much CO2 as we exhale.
Here’s what I’ve doing for more than too many years to admit. Used a bicycle until I could drive. Just bought myself one that will last me the rest of my life. Since the late eighties I’ve used synthetic in vehicles and that extends my oil change intervals and reduces my fuel consumption and emissions. I also use Propylene Glycol antifreeze which is non-toxic and non-lethal. All total, this has also reduced my general operation and maintenance expenses. In others my banking foot print has also been reduced.
I completely agree with Stormbringer. I also believe that the only people who will benefit from this carbon footprint thing, are the extremely wealthy who have invested in this scheme for quite some time.
Being RESPONSIBLE is different from the carbon footprint movement. For instance, I wouldnt change the oil in my vehicle and dump it down a drain.
Ultimately, it will be God who changes the earth in His own way.
Thanks for your comments! I would agree that certain extremest positions regarding the environment have been overblown.
However, we should note that breathing does not introduce more carbon dioxide into the environment. A person can’t exhale more carbon dioxide than they inhale. On the other hand, things like cars introduce additional carbon dioxide into the environment.
So, especially given that taking some simple environmental steps can actually save money, there seems to be little harm in trying at least some of them.
Can’t and won’t reduce my “carbon footprint”. While I believe we should be good to our planet, I refuse to follow environmentalist extremist lies about global warming; it’s pretty well disproved except to nutjobs who make it their religion. Carbon dioxide? You mean, the stuff that we exhale? Best way for me to reduce that is to die. But first, how about capping volcanoes? They sure give off plenty.
