Your God and Your Savior

Are you feeling overwhelmed by guilt? This is a safe place, talk to us.

Trusting God is easy when things are going well and we can see our way.  Trusting God when the path is obscured and we cannot clearly see ahead is more challenging.

There is a prayer in the Bible prayed by David; it’s a prayer you and I can pray for ourselves when our way is obscured with the uncertainty of our lives. Mark it in your Bible and make it the prayer of your heart whenever doubt and fear want to crowd out your faith.

“Show me Your ways, O Lord. Teach me Your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me for You are my God and my Savior and my hope is in You all day long” (Psalm 25:4-5, NIV).

Whenever your faith wants to waiver, read this prayer and refresh your confidence in the Lord who will lead you and guide you and teach you because He is your God and Savior and your hope all the day long!

God bless you as you place your trust in our trustworthy God… all day long!

Father God, thank you that You, the God of Hope, are my certainty in uncertain times. I lean on You today! In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Questions: What do you do when your way is obscured with uncertainty?  What does God want us to do when life is difficult?

I was reading Deuteronomy 1 today and was thinking about how easy we lose trust in God. In Duet. it speaks of God calling the Isrealites to go into the land of the Amorites and take possession of the land that the Lord has given them. But instead of trusting God, they sent spies in before them to check things out. When the spies came back and said the ‘land was good’, still the people complained that the Lord took them out of Egypt just to be destroyed by the Amorites. Did they not remember that the Lord took them out of slavery and lead them from the Egyptians by a cloud by day and fire by night! I believe that was the problem…they did not take the time to REMEMBER what God has done.
That is what I try to do to keep my faith and trust in God, look back and even look at my present state and see how God has provided for me and fought for me. He IS faithful, sometimes we just fail to see that.

**If you search the word “remember” at a bible website, you will see just how many times that word is in the Bible…referring to God remembering us and us taking the time to remember God. I think that is very important.

What i ‘used’ to do when i was uncertain was PANIC! i would get so scared and anxious with the ‘not knowing’ what God was doing. i had no rest so i was unable to hear HIM when He spoke to me. i was a nervous wreck. More and more as i rely on my growing Faith (which is not an emotion)i can see the better changes in my life. Since it is HE who is the Light then i knew i had to start using Courage (being scared and doing it anyway) to walk in the darkness. This formed more Faith and now i can honestly say i trust HIM completely to unfold my destiny and to be OK with the not knowing. Believe me when i tell you, MY plans did not work out the way i wanted them to and i later regreted them. i forgive myslef b/c i was no where near the level of Faith as i am now and it took many a hard knock to get me to listen b/c of mistrust and fear issues but PRAISE THE LORD He took me through and today i’m resting in His promises so much better. Fear is the greatest tool of the enemy b/c it works so well when our Faith is weak or wavering. Always rem…we “can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens us.”

I know all to well about praying and worrying. I know when we pray we are to have faith and believe, but when those times of uncertainty come its sooo hard. I thank God for he is true to His Word, He will never leave us or forsake us. I thank God for the comfort He give me during those dark times. I will forever lift up his mighty name in praise.
    Thanks Be to God!
    have a blessed day
