Who Trains My Hands for War!

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly place” (Eph 6:12, NKJV).
Every day over every city there is a war going on in the spirit realm. Darkness and light are battling it out for the souls of the city, and the results are evident in the natural as we see both godliness and evil manifested in the lives of the people. Mankind participates in that war by giving power to darkness through sin, or by giving power to the light through prayer, fasting, and righteous living.
Even though Daniel’s prayer for his nation was heard the very first day, and his prayer was immediately responded to, it was three weeks before the angel was able to get through the spiritual battle with a message for Daniel. Daniel’s fasting and continued prayer contributed to victory for the angel and ultimately for his nation. (Daniel 10:12-14)
If we want to see change in the natural, we first have to have victory in the spiritual. Be confident that when you engage in prayer, fasting, and righteous living, you are using weapons that will impact the spirit realm and change the atmosphere in your city, preparing a way for a greater openness to the gospel among the people.
“Blessed be the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle” (Psalm 144:1, NKJV).

We as Christians have the responsibility to get to know the history and beliefs of the candidates who are running for office. We as a nation can’t afford to let people make decisions for us by spreading fear and hate; not to mention selfishness. Why would We want to vote for someone who wants to privatise social security. It would give big banks more money to lose on the markets. Our social networks would be just fine if the money we pay into them stayed there instead of funding two unpaid for wars, corporate welfare and tax breaks for the wealthiest 2% of the country. In order to keep their power the big companies are refusing to hire and sending jobs over seas. We need to tax them enough bringing the products back in that it is more cost effective to hire at home. Corporate greed and the polititions that support it is whats bringing Our country to it’s knees and needs to be stopped. As Christians We are supposed to respect and help the down todden amongst us,not let the values of darkness take over Our thoughts. If God were to judge Our nation today, I fear We would fail miserably. Lobolady

If I am not presently engaged in battle, I’m not in war … if alive on planet Earth, the ruler of this dark world has me …..
As Scripture says, I am not born free as God originally intended …. due to Man’s original choice to reject God’s plan, I’m born sinful and need redeeming.
How marvellous to know the saving message of salvation, through Christ’s death and resurrection …. He has won the battle we cannot win. Now, my moment-by-moment “battle” is “Will I let Christ’s victory or my Self rule?”. I long to see Him face to face – The One Who gave His Life for mine, that I might LIVE (real living/serving here and now and forever, rather than die a never-ending death).
Praying for you Em….Heavenly Father, almighty God, our protection, power and wisdom I pray for Em. Lord, you know that Em is starting the new school year and may not be prepared for the things ahead of her. Lord help Em to keep focused on you and not her circumstances. Help her be a light for you Lord in a place that will possibly challenge and oppress her. Father God show Em how to work in this place that is not ideal. Lord I pray that she would make a great difference to all those around her, please equip Em in every way to serve you where you have called her to be. You have promised Lord to be with us and we claim that promise for Em right now. Lord, please keep Em in a safe place and fill her with joy as she moves forward hand in hand with you. Thanks for this. Please lift up a prayer for me, as I begin a new schoolyear (in an inner-city school in NYC). I need a lot of prayer for protection, power, wisdom & direction (despite politics with bosses, gossip & hostility among co-workers & difficult children). Thanks for your prayers. God bless.
Before me right now is the battle for my daughter’s heart. And I assume the battle for our heart as parents to see what we are willing to do to fight for her. I recognize that my biggest tool in fighting for my daughter’s heart is prayer. I have to admit that I DO NOT devote enough time praying over and for her. I think that I can do things to help her like talk to her, provide structure, send her to therapy, give her healthy environments, etc… And those things are so important, but first and foremost prayer will be the most powerful weapon. None of those things I do can even begin to have strength unless I ask the most powerful God and Saviour of the universe to be IN them so they can work. Prayer will help me filter things that aren’t going to work so I can focus on those things that will be most effective. My biggest prayer is that Samara finds the peace and Love of her Heavenly Father. That she can learn to trust Him and rely on Him above herself.
Lord, help me to hand my daughter’s heart over to YOU every day and every moment as needed so you can protect her heart from the ruler’s of the darkness. I often think that I am the one that can do this, but I have the privilege of having access to the Almighty Warrior who WILL fight these battles. Lord; fight on her behalf and show me where you want me to stand in the battle line!
Right on Emmie. Satan loves a vacuum and as we as a nation continue to remove God from our schools, public meeting places etc as well as from our lives, he is more than willing to fill the void. Christians today need a wake up call to open our eyes and see the spiritual battles going on all around us. We need to put on the whole armor of God and become participants in the spiritual battle God called us to fight. Great Job! Keep proclaiming truth.
