Every day we receive hundreds of emails from people all over the world who are searching for something. Many of those emails are from teens. They write in with questions ranging from relationships, to school, to spirituality. They may not feel comfortable talking to their friends or family about it but they’re willing to talk with us and you can make a difference in their lives!
After talking with one of our mentors, here is what one 14 year old said:
“I would like to take this opportunity to tell you how thankful I am for all your help and advice. I am so glad that I decided to sign up for a mentor. I feel like without this experience in my life, I wouldn’t know where I’d be, probably dead, though I am not proud to admit that, it’s most likely true. I truly feel that you are one of my best friends, even thou we’ve never met and don’t know a lot about each other I feel like you were meant to be my mentor, like God knew it from the start that that’s what he wanted you to do. Thank you so much for being here for me, and I’d love to continue emailing you.” (Read more stories in our summer newsletter)
All of the emails we receive go into The Mentor Center (TMC). This is efficient system (developed over a period of 10 years by TruthMedia!) matches people who are seeking (like the teen above) with a mentor. A mentor is someone who has volunteered to begin conversations with people who write to us. And simply having someone to talk to makes a huge difference in
the life of a young person. Here’s a promotional video you should watch which explains the vision behind TMC!
We have a critical need for mentors to teens. There are over 150 emails from teens waiting in the queue for someone to answer, but all of the inboxes of our current mentors to teens are full. We need help … or rather, these teens need someone to be willing to take a step of faith and become a mentor. Help a person change their life and introduce them to God, all without getting up from your desk!
You can be trained and start ministering in just a week or two. The only skills you need to become an online mentor are a heart for God and the ability to send an email. Do you have an hour a week to help a teen?

Hi, We are actually looking for adults to mentor teens …not teenage mentors. Please fill out an application.
I am not a teen, but mentoring for your ministry is of interest. You all have helped me so much.
